When you hear we have £1. 2M in the bank why were we out buying players such as Boyd, Millar, Zaliukas etc all on good salaries and no re-sale value?

We should have stuck with our younger players and got rid of our high earners on the fringes, ok we may not have gained promotion this year but at least we would have a club and team to support.

It really beggars belief how our club is being ran, we are going back the way instead of forward.

Wullie. You are spot on.

OP, spot on wullie but even now you will still get the pro ally brigade on here trying to justify him spending millions to get out of the worst two divisions in Scottish, perhaps even European football.

Wullie you are kidding yourself on if you believe not signing miller, Boyd etc would have solved our financial nightmare it's a problem that was created long before they came and stemmed from imposters with their long snouts in the trough until their was nothing left and it continues with Ashley accepting renaming rights for a pound obviously a man with no conscience and seeing the pound signs. I really can't see our club being rid of these greedy people

BT61, you're missing the point. We are in this position because we have bought and paid overage and over-rated players for the past 3 years. You are correct regarding the board but you can't blame Ashley regarding naming rights, anyone would have jumped at the chance if Charles Green offered them the same deal. The whole situation stinks.

Everyone inside Ibrox knew how serious this situation was and still is yet we are still wanting to spend money we don't have.

We should have been investing in the club from top to bottom and yes that includes the team on the park.

Ask yourself one question "Have we invested wisely to improve the club stature and team"? My answer to this is NO!

Once again McCoist did not spend a penny on players ,he identifies a player let's board know and they discuss wages etc with the player and his agent ,he does not tell the board what to offer and I'm sure any manager if told money was available to sign players would do it .

@6. He may not have paid transfer fees but there was no need to offer the wages that have been squandered on them. And no, I don't believe that Ally has no input into that.

I also believe the board offered contracts to the new players on the strength of previous S.T sales as they did not think the boycott would have been a success ,so apart from the boards inept failures the onset of the boycott didn't exactly help financial matters .

We don't need to win championship, just win the promotion playoff, we will have huge home advantage and should beat any clubs in it.

we must not get points penalty
