THE JOKER
Is your status a joke mate? Because if your being serious then in the politest way possible Youve lost the plot pal!!1

3.) 15 Oct 2014
OP. Hopefully it is and I read Richard Gough saying yesterday that he hoped that King and Ashley could work together.

Realistically though I still can't see King spending his own cash until a liquidation.

Why not king has he not cleared monies owed, he does seem to have the club's interest at heart, would you rather well continued As we are not knowing where the next crisis is coming from, yes Hearts have done well but in all honesty they are a two bob outfit we are a totally different entity, we all profess to love the club but we're all divided in our views of who and how's best to take our great club back to former glories maybe just maybe with king at the helm he might just unite the fans and make it a possibility of a fan owned club in the future. WE TO.

5.) 15 Oct 2014
Naz
What are you talking about he's over here noew trying to sort it out so your comment makes no sense mate. He won't spend a penny until liquadation???? What are you on about?

6.) 15 Oct 2014
Soton bear; ". Hearts have done well but in all honesty they are a two bob outfit we are a totally different entity, ".
Really!
Where have you been hidding for the last five years?

Dave King does not want liquidation when Rangers are so close to a top flight return and the prospect of securing European football next season the possible profit outweighs the penalty that comes with another insolvency event under the SFA rules. Dave wants 51% of shares for £16M that double the market going rate. He has £14 set aside if succesfull to fund the building of an SPL side and to invest in scouting. I have been pesimistic in past reports but this is looking really good. Ashley's hands are tied under the rules he can't better his offer unless he sell's Newcastle and that could take him years. But until I see Dave King on the steps of Ibrox declaring that things will now be done correctly and the club is in the hands of those who care for it most I will wait before celebrating.

{Ed001's Note - I know Scottish football is struggling, but he might want to put aside a bit more than 14 quid to fund a successful side!!}

8.) 15 Oct 2014
5. We shall see if I'm right or not but I can't see a majority of existing shareholders supporting King's plans for a one off dilution of shares as seems to be the plan.

I don't doubt King is a Rangers man but I think this could be his 'I've did my best to save the club but can't' moment when his plans are rejected.

@6) by two bob I meant a club who were nothing globally and have all the potential of carrying that tradition on, we even in our present state are still one of the biggest clubs In Britain and with sound backing and the right leadership the potential to be a regular in champions league football, I'll have a wee bet with you ifs you fancy we'll be there long before Hearts. WATP

@7 Fourteen bucks? Now that's a real transfer war chest. If he can conjure up another six quid that's big Kevin Kyle tied up on a three year contract this time.

11.) 15 Oct 2014
People here seem to forget that Dave King is unlikely to pass the fit and proper test as he is a convicted criminal also he was on the board when the club entered admin. Ashley is more likely to be allowed to break the 10% rule.

12.) 15 Oct 2014
ABHABH: I don't think that is an issue anymore.

13.) 16 Oct 2014
Abhabh surely dave king looked into this before his latest attempt to get involved

14.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 06:52:16
@johns - why wouldn't that be an issue anymore?
@twmtn - I'm not so sure. It's a UEFA rule about former directors. I don't think they would let it pass so easily.

15.) 16 Oct 2014
King would have looked into this and I am sure I heard he would be ok, eh that's why.

16.) 16 Oct 2014
NAZ Your still talking nonsense mate get grip really. Do you actaully think dave king flew over from south africa set up a meeting eith the rangers board knowing his bid would fail just so he can say i did mt best to save the club????? Come on behave yourself.

17.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 08:42:04
Ok johns. What you are saying is you have no idea. King is ineligible and will need to appeal to both the SFA and UEFA if he wants to take control.

18.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 09:42:48
did king not say to the press the last time he was over when asked the fit & proper person question that he had spoken to the sfa and was told they did not have a problem with him ?
r.f

19.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 11:03:13
Is it not the case also as he made a settlement with the s.african tax people that there is no criminal charges To answer therefore no criminal convictions ?
r.f

20.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 12:10:03
@r.f Yes King did say that he had spoken with the SFA but the SFA denied this. And no he did not 'settle' with the South african authorities, he was given a choice between prison and paying a fine. He paid the fine which is why I think people believe that he made a settlement rather than the truth.

21.) 16 Oct 2014
ABHABH: As in post above, that is what happened, maybe you have no idea, keep up now.

22.) 16 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 15:06:36
@20 I don't know about this King tax caper.I've heard / read so many different accounts and views on the subject. So King never settled any tax bills that he owed? But payed a fine imposed on him for failing to pay said tax bills?ABHABH, I'll settle for that.

23.) 17 Oct 2014
16 Oct 2014 22:50:10
Good man johns, great argument. See above post? Any one in particular? I will stick with the facts and let you believe your fairy tales.

24.) 17 Oct 2014
I thought it was a great reply too, unlike your fairytale, obvious to anyone I meant King situation has been resolved.

25.) 17 Oct 2014
17 Oct 2014 21:32:00
Where's your proof of that johns? Where's the statement from Uefa saying they will change their stance on directors involved in previous insolvencies being barred from holding similar positions on another board? Where is the statement from the SFA saying they will change their stance on allowing convicted criminals, such as King, from taking control of clubs?

26.) 18 Oct 2014
Abhabh dave king could get involved without puting his name to anything

27.) 18 Oct 2014
18 Oct 2014 07:41:26
tmwtn it's possible, although he doesn't strike me as the kind of man who would be happy to put money forward and not be involved.
