Afternoon Bears,

After reading yesterdays media regarding Ashley and Ibrox/Murray Park, I have to admit I understand the boycott outlook by most of the fans, however this is the way I see it panning out should the Three Bears not be able to cut Ashley off at the pass.

1. Ashley gives the board the 10million loan in exchange for the Ibrox and Murray Park Securities.

2. The fans boycott games, starving the board of cash to pay back the Ashley loan.

3. Ashley then owns Ibrox and Murray Park due to the loans being defaulted on.

4. We are then well and truly screwed with Ashley in the driving seat. owning the club through a relatively small shareholding and surrounded by his men on the board.

Or we continue to got to the games and keep the club afloat and hope that with the buying up of shares by the Three Bears and King that the long game (dare I say) will prevail in the end. Three years is enough pain for any fan. but is there more to come. Can we hold on?

I guess what I am saying is that I fully agree with the idea of the boycotts. but this will do nothing more in the long term than play into the hands of Ashley's ownership agenda. Even look at the merchandising deals. the club has to buy surplus kit should it not sell in his stores. There is no lose lose in this for that fat rat. I really hope that something legal can be done to stop this and an EGM is called today! Time is a wasting.

All of this rings true to the same time prior to last years AGM when the requisitioners never called an EGM over concern of costing Rangers money. and eventually were out manoeuvred be to this good grace. I would hope that the same has not happened to the Three Bears and Dave King.

Thoughts?

Whether we fill the stadium or not the fatrat will not give up until Ibrox is called the sports direct arena, and the players are covered in head to toe in sport direct logos. I wouldn't even put it past him to try and rename edmiston drive sports direct way. This guy cares as much about Rangers as I do about the other lot from the east of the city. KEEP ASHLEY OUT.

2.) 16 Jan 2015
I say enough is enough, boycott games and don't but any merchandise from the shops. We need to force this current board out and get people in that want what's best for the club and not what's best to line their pockets. This should have been a complete walkout from the beginning of the season and maybe just maybe we could have started moving in the right direction

alrus blue 2. The fans boycott games, starving the board of cash to pay back the Ashley loan
yet another poster blaming the fans
the board are blowing money right left and center have no way of paying back Ashley loan if we had a full stadium we would still need the cash so to blame fans is getting a bit boring now to be honest what's going to be the board excuse this time to knock back the loan

This is my fear also but I also understand that the board will play the matters here if there is no money going into the club. They will say well. 'what were we meant to do when we had no money to pay back Ashley?'.
Its as plain as the nose on your face.

Im all for the boycott but realise the negative aspects that it will bring. I can't wait to see that back of Ashley and I hope that some legal blocking can come into play or the SPFL can do something?

Your right in what you say but i'm not blaming the fans if that's what you meant. i'm taking a step back and trying to access Ashley's agenda.

He'll be thinking if as fans we love the club, we have no choice but to continue to support the team when he gets his hands on the stadium and training park.

The positive I suppose is that we have the chance of an EGM should the Three Bears & King manage to get enough other shareholders on side to gain the 51% required to oust the current board. This will happen. its just when.

I do hope that it can all be brought to an end by Three Bears and King soon.

I want this board out the same as everyone else but can someone please tell me what money are they suppose to be robbing/blowing as the way way I see it there's not enough coming in to pay wages etc hence the reason for loans, I can see why with whyte then green with the share issue money, so what money are this board blowing? (i can also see the retail deal with ashley being unfair)

Alrus blue. I know where your coming from mate, and it's a hard one for any fan, but if we filled the stadium tonight and for the rest of the season, then where will the money go, there is no trust left between the fans and the board. I personally will not put one more penny of my hard earned cash into the pockets of chancers, liars and thieves. I just can't wait for the day until I am on sites like this talking about football again.

Off course money is leaking out of Ibrox Left Right and Chelsea. Easiest way to look at it is this, as it stand the player budget at Ibrox as % of Turnover is one of the lowest around. 99% of clubs would love to have there player budge at 30-35% of turnover.

Normally this is the biggest expenditure. So you have to ask why are we in this mess, if our player budget is the lowest it ever has been.
Answer, because the board are either squandering or rewarding them self. Why do you think every year for the past 3 years there has been all the misinformation and delays when it comes to issuing the yearly accounts. Is this the actions of peopel with nothing to hide?

70m gone in 2yrs in wages and pay offs for directors also not including onerous contracts catering and security by mr green money paid out to investors etc .they don't want anyone looking under the bonnet of rangers because they would find where the gravy train is going alledgedly

but with income also down due to poor st sales and falling attendances surely this equates to a lower wage bill, I'll give u they pay themselves excessive wages so the way I see it there's not enough coming in to pay wages etc let alone blow.

Alrusblue is only staing the facts as they stand and I agree. The key is to get an egm asap and remove the board by a democratic vote of shareholders. I believe King etc will win any vote hands down, so to boycott only makes thinks more difficult to address when they control things.
As I've said, many times, this season should be written off, re-group and target the beginning of next season as day 1 of our recovery.
This way it is only a loan that has to be paid off and not the loss of Ibrox and the training facility.
Finally, the bulk of the cash 'stolen' is gone and our current losses are down to the way the club is structured, so with our board in place this could be sorted by next season. If this happens we will win the premier league in 2 years. [ if we can unite. ]

@5 I keep hearing/reading different views on this 51 per cent or 75 to oust this board,I've read its 51 at an AGM but 75 at an EGM.Can someone who knows their stuff on this help a man out?Cheers.

well rf if you had a business would you communicate with customers or would you treat them with contempt falling attendances are due to people absolutely sick of the board and have already said enough is enough I have my memories from 72 and breaks my heart to see us in this state the fans have to unite and get this once great club back but believe me ashley is not the answer

14.) 16 Jan 2015
Gkk, firstly there is no need to vote to remove directors at an AGM as they automatically resign and are put up for re-election,

Regarding your question, go on the website and read our articles of association (our rules to govern the company) section 23. 2 states that a director can be removed by an ordinary resolution,
an ordinary resolution can be put forward at an EGM and requires a majority to be accepted or 50. 01%

billy b a get your point bout vote but what happens if king 3 bears get defeated board do not have money to pay loan back if we do not get promoted spells disaster for the club they need the money Ashley has got every income stream going in his pockets there is so many underhand deals at our club it will take years to unravel wallace nash mccoist all cost money to get rid of them and all directors salary s trust me these people are taking money out ibrox in bucket loads this is our problem once proper owners are in charge then club will not start to recover

JG I'll take your word/post for it mate. Cheers.

Craigs8688, These boycotts will ensure that we are fined with points also deducted, at best. Liquidation will mean that we lose Ibrox and Auchenhowie, but worst of all the licence to play in any league. Ashley will ''move on'' the assets and there will not be anything for King etc. to salvage. Our choice is the devil or the deep blue sea. We can harness the devil but with the other we are sunk.

18.) 16 Jan 2015
Billyb are you saying the club will be fined for fans boycotts, that's the first I've heard that one, surely can't be possible

19.) 17 Jan 2015
George123, Not the boycotts, the loss of income with potential administration.
Remember the egm is potentially 6weeks away.
I re-iterate what I feel the best way forward would be:-
i] Accept Ashley's loan assuming terms are not onerous.
ii] Fill the stadium and back the club's finances.
iii] At the egm replace the board by a democratic vote.
