Interesting article in today's Daily Record about Mike Ashley alleging he is engaged in 'asset stripping' Rangers. It also reckons all the pathetic goings on in the boardroom are simply strengthening King's hand for victory at the EGM. Talking of which, I can't recall when the 21 day period expires by which time this pathetic Board are required to call an EGM?

I think King announced it on 16th Jan.
So I expect something about this time next week.
Just hope King et al can secure another 5 pc to make sure of this.It could be that close,and for me this is it if EGM fails.

The EGM call deadline is 4th Feb - 21 days from 16th Jan. Then has to be held within 28 days - by 4th March. Roll on!

Doiger, Following King's request for an egm on the 16th. January, notice must be sent to shareholders by 6th. February [ 21 days. ] The notice should include the intended date [ within 28days. ] I calculate that to be Friday 6th. March.
Ashley's meeting with the SFA is on Monday 2nd. March so, I think he will organise the meeting for Sunday the 1st or 3rd-5th, depending on how he assesses his stance will be with the governing body.

TV sport says it has to take place before 27th Feb, which would be 42 days.
