Personally what gives an insight into our team's mind-set is comments such as Law's. He lost impetus when ally left. my ass. Like our ex manager he is an overpaid lush and, is amongst, the luckiest men on this planet to play for Glasgow Rangers. In my opinion, ally was picked for his non-ability and his signings, en bloc, must be amonst the worst ever made by any manager. Since our demise we have had a using, but the reason we have such a sh**e team is down to one person. He was given sufficient money to organise a structured team, while nurturing a youth policy, but he chose an easy option, so he thought, while laughing all the way to the bank. ''IF'' King wins control at the egm there is no way that this is an overnight fix. Not only has he the financial situation to sort but the worst coaching and playing staff in our history. Just remeber the board did not put this shambles together, amcc did and in my opinion any claim he had to legendary status is long gone.
Dave King can maybe put us on an even keel, financially, but to fix the playing side, that will take time.

Could not agree more.
Even last season his whole objective was not to lose a game. Big feckin deal. Against part time teams. When the league was even won by some distance he refused to play more young guys.

I 100% agree with everything you say mate I hope McCoist goes down in history as a hate figure in Rangers fans eyes as he single handedly destroyed every single component needed to play football. Through bad signings, old pals act, larking around instead of training, disregarded youth policy, destroyed the scouting system, had no tactics, no game plan, played most players out of position and wasted millions on lumps of wood too many to list. Add to this the worst and most naive football using punt the ball up park 1970s crap style. The WORST cup record in history losing every single one including the Ramsdens wa joke cup. Throw in taking 3.3million and shares PLUS still bleeding us dry of money when we really can't affoprd it (aye he is a Rangers man and a fan BULLS*T!).
It is beyong belief he managed to f**k up ever single thing he touched and I mean everything there is nothing he got right, ffs he even backed EVERY crook from Whyte right up to Easdales.

Were it up to me I would publicly have him stripped of every record he achieved as a player and remove him from all record listing and Rangers history, . His medals should be repossesed and sold to give some money to the countless staff sacked during cutbacks whilst superswally was drawing 800k salary he never knew about.

Agree completely Billy.

No quick fixes here especially with Ashley's onerous contracts in place for years to come.

Three wasted years under Ally. Hard to think what more harm he could have done to the team.

Billyb I also agree, though I would imagine that while mr king is trying to win control he will have been puttin feelers out, esspecially once he new the e.g.m. Was in the bag, I imagine he has known for a while that he will win at the e.g.m. Due to the way the board have treated it's punters, us the fans.

There were plenty of occasions when we were comfortably ahead at Ibrox with about 20 mins left and rather than bring on young players like Telfer he would bring on Daly. From day one Ally has been a poor manager and now we are reaping what he sowed. It could take is a while to get back to challenging again and there will be more pain in store. Ally has done as much damage to the club as anyone

I totally agree with comments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, number 6 is one of the reasons it happened, another so called fan of our club that cannot separate the player from the manager, he has been a total disaster for the club as a manager .Nicky law summed it up perfectly when he said Ally was great at keeping our spirits up, in other words a joker, when we needed someone to command respect we got a clown, when we needed to develop a style we got hoofball.when we needed youth we got geriatric has beens like Kevin Kyle .Believe me when the dust finally settles on all this Mr McCoist will beshown up for what he was a complete chancer and he took us for a ride big time.

Rf. for half his wages I could have got us back to where we are, just by using guys I know that have and are currently playing junior football, I would have done his job though ime not known in the same way mccoist is known there are plenty yes plenty of ex players that could have done or better than super on 2 grand a week, and most would have classed it as easy money.

Great comment Ed. I wish people would not dither and sway. Tell it like it is. Lot of passion in the post there though. Bet he felt better after getting it off his chest. I disagree on one point though. Ally brought a lot of pleasure and goals when he played. He earned the medals and adulation as a player. Sadly, he put himself between the rock and the hard place by stating he did not do walking away. Everything else said about his tactical knowledge, lack of youth involvement, old buddies acts, backing every swindler and making a pot of cash into the bargain is all true. That said, he met the targets (regardless how it was achieved) of straight promotion every season. How many of us could honestly walk away given similar circumstances? If your bosses gave you pots of money to achieve a target with a promised bonus when you succeeded, what would you do? Ally did not spend the money directly, it was all approved by the board crooks they may be, but they spent the money on Ally's recommendations. Just look across the city at the number of Celtic fans who have constantly moaned because PL would not release the purse strings even though NL desperately wanted certain players. That's what failed at Rangers not just Ally. From SDM onwards the club has been run in a financial disastrous way. (tenner for every fiver, Whyte using ST money to buy the club, Green getting it and not being the highest bidder, MA getting naming rights etc for a pound and lending (not giving) money with strings attached (members on board, young Newcastle players). Is King going to be any better? I don't think so. Getting back to the main pointwhen you talk of football, Ally is up there with the best at this club. Management?? Aye well, there are restrictions on the language allowed to be published but let's just say he was shining bright.

Am with RF and EK here. Shocked at so called Rangers fans making disgusting comments about mccoist. Rubbish manager? Yes. Terrible scout? Yes. But playing Legend? One of the greatest that every put on a jersey. All the comments seem like people who only know him for his managerial stint not his playing days.

terrible manager yes. but still a playing legend. no matter how we played he was criticized. I won't stand up for him, but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have a team, his tactics are terrible, but he got us on the path to recovery, it was always going to be a long one, with many many many many hard times and bumps.
