Not happy at losing out on Warburton BUT that said Cathro is young and very highly rated in Spain, the best league in the world, for English football fans note Barca and Sevillia top 2 in Euro Cups and Barca the best team in the world.

So taking that into account and the fact he is renowned for spotting and developing youth I am not too unhappy he is definately miles better than McCall, McLeish and light years ahead of Davies.

Pro Euro, passing, exciting football is the future and we can go this way with Cathro.

Lets hope that him quiting his job in Valencia translates as he is going to be revealed at the EGM as our new manager.

Next let's see Allan from Hibs, McLean from Aberdeen and build team round Ryan Gault
who is in Sporting Lisbon reserves but the top talent in Scottish football (okay I admit probably way out our price range but we should have players like him and Robertson that the genius McCoist missed)

King prove yourself by doing this and my faith will be restored

Gauld will be in sportings starting 11 or bench next season this is what the young lad was told. And walter missed out on allan and mclean. Robertson is priced at 3/4 million currently.

Ryan Gauld had a 60m Euro clause put in his contract as standard to dissuade the big 2 in Spain from grabbing him on the cheap should he hit his potential and while he won't cost as much as that should some team want to buy him now they have no intention of selling him this soon into his development, he wouldn't come back anyway - would you?

All the other teams are doing their business already, only the really big transfers will drag on as it involves mega millions and protracted negotiations.

My optimism lies in just having a team to watch that isn't on a permanently shaky nail, we may take a few years to get back up to a reasonable level but it'll be worth it if it's built on a solid foundation of scouting, youth and good technical football.

We all hated the "Quick fix" mentality that fell short as we knew it would so let's show some patience and let the guys get it right this time.
