I've been looking at Michael Beale's past experience and wonder really why he has ended up as Rangers' manager. He achieved very little as a player and was at best a youth coach at Chelsea and Liverpool. He left QPR to join Rangers midway through the season. Having seen the large influx of new players this summer it was no surprise to me, when combined with Beale's relative inexperience, that we lost to Kilmarnock. Perhaps we might have been better going for Derek McInnes, I don't know but I fear for the next few games with new players trying to gel. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Don't agree Doiger. Give him and the team a chance. Kilmarnock game result you could have written the script. Beale will be fine if given the chance but that's unlikely. . I expect a performance tomorrow against a team who will want to play. onwards.

I know a few in here we’re vocal on not wanting him
he really could be under huge pressure depending on how the next 4-5 fixtures go
We didn’t have the best start and the bar needs raised big time he will know this and is not daft
It’s whether he can motivate and get the team playing together and playing to the tactics he wants

I don’t doubt the group I think we have a strong squad with many good options it’s whether he can get the best out of them and playing the football we all want to see
I’m reading in back ground some posters talking about grumbles with Cantwell the season has just begun it’s a new squad near enough so I’m hoping any talk of fallen outs is just rumours with no substance.

You've got to start somewhere Doiger I'm not sure he's the right man to take us to the next level but I'll get behind him. My biggest concern always has been that he was supposed to be the brains behind the gerrard era.
It also looks to me as if the players don't know what he wants from them. But hopefully time will get them there withoit losing more games.
Had read somewhere that beales nor bennet and bisgroves man so won't get a lot of rope. Not sure if that's true though.

DOIGER, quite a few posters said at the time of his appointment he wasn't the man for the job, time will tell, my main concern is the lack of tactics from him at times.

Arsenal Wenger only played at amateur level before getting his coaching badges in 1981.
You don't have to have had a great playing background to be a good manager.

Didn’t see any doubts when we horsed Celtic 3.0 going on 6.

Was that not a dead rubber though, Mols? ?.

A dead rubber, Molsgoals.
Where Celtic had the league wrapped up 2 weeks earlier and were concentrating on a Cup Final to win another treble.
And 5 of the team that started that day didn't start against Killie.
And the 5 subs who came on never played against Killie.
So have we went back the way from a result against Celtic to getting beat off Killie?
And only 2 weeks earlier we got beat in a more important game against Celtic - the SC semi final.
But sometimes any Comfort Blanket is better than facing the current reality.

The weekend result and performance wasn't great but everyone needs to take a deep breath and stay calm
We all get behind the guys.
Sure there are players we don't rate etc and I've been vocal about our captain but I'll show my support when they are playing.
If after a few months, things don't look to be improving, then we can start to worry.
It makes no real difference how good a player a coach or manager was, it's his coaching ability and tactical nouse.
Hopefully the team gel quickly and we pick up results.

He has limited experience but many people sing his praises.
I personally just hope he turns out to be the real deal because our club needs some success, supporters are starting to lose patience with the dross that we have watched over the last few seasons, it’s been a really bleak 10 years where we have watched our biggest rivals win treble after treble. So am I confident, sadly not that evaporated on Saturday but I’m praying it was just a blip.

I definitely questioned his appointment as his lack of managerial experience was a concern.

However, now he is our manager he needs to be given time to be successful. All this nonesense about wanting rid after first game of the season is just that, nonesense.

We simply cannot afford to change managers as regularly as some on here would have. Aside from the actual cost of moving out a management team we end up with players that a new manager may not want and we have to move on for less than they cost or cannot move them due to high wages.

For me we give MB our backing till end of season and then review. If there is good progress he stays if not he goes.

That’s one game Mols imo he cost us in the new year game with his subs and cost us in the final with his team selection.

Well this year feels a lot like the when Pedro was hired. New players, unorthodox playing style, no players used to playing knuckle dragging scottish football. I don't want it to be, but i have a strong feeling the season will be over well before the new year.
