Beale is deeply out of his depth at Rangers. Thought a run at low-pressure QPR stood him in good stead for Rangers. Completely underestimated the job and overestimated his own ego.
Rangers need a Walter Smith desperately, a massive strong personality with Scottish football nous, and Beale is a mile away from this.

I think Beale will get it right. I think the down side of taking over a poor team mid season is it’s held against you. We finished on 92 points last year which in plenty of seasons would have been enough to win the league. He deserves time and I can’t see how changing manager mid season again is going to help. I’m fully behind him and hope the rest of the fans get behind him too.

First time poster, long time follower of the site. I really wanted to comment on the amount of glory hunters and negative ‘supporters’ we have on here. Both of the team and for some of the guys on here who post good and reliable information - particular mention to John27, who has been first class!
I can’t believe people are actually calling for Beale to leave, after 1 game this season. It’s embarrassing. The lack of support of him and the team by some is pathetic. The majority of us will be backing him and the new look squad until it / if a change is needed. But not after 1 game. Really hoping for a solid win tonight which will no doubt lead to the same haters singing in Beale and the teams praises. Probably the same lot who disappeared when we were in a mess but back out the woodwork glory hunting when things picked up.

Ye I’d say Beale took over a poor team. We couldn’t buy a win against Celtic and were dropping points left right and centre in the league. That’s a top team for sure ?.

Saturday was hard to take and was a shocking unacceptable performance but its the first game of the season.
Most of us wanted a big turnover of players, Most of us slated the board for lack of backing but we have had both with more likely to come.
Give Beale a chance to get the squad playing the way he wants.

Any other league in the world and Michael Beale would get time to get his team playing his way but this is Glasgow and time isn't a luxury afforded to Rangers manager's he's got to the 3rd September if by then Rangers are 6 or more points behind the board are going to be left with a difficult decision.

Goforbigfc2 you’re spot on! Gio made more money for the club than any other manager previous in such a short period of time. And then wasn’t backed! I feel a lot of players have gone backwards since Beale came in, like lunstrum, Kamara, Morelos etc then Kent and Alfie left for free it’s really been a rubbish show having said that Beale has to be given some time because he’s signed all these players hopefully he knows what he’s doing! I personally think he’s probably a better coach than a manager but time will tell!

Gio was treated disgracefully by both the board and the fans. Just because he wasn't charismatic like Gerrard. Best manager we'd had since Walter.

Gio took over Gerrard's squad which had already done fairly decent in Europe. So not much credit is due there.
Gio also made the big mistake of subbing on Ramsay which cost us the Final by him missing the penalty.
Gio had the team playing worse in the league and then got destroy in Champions League and the players were not playing for him. Beale has taken that over and brought in players he likes.
One crap game against Killie and everyone is jumping ship on him. chill out.
My only issue at the moment would be that Beale (like Gio) does not seem to have a plan B but we will need to wait and see.

QPR was not low pressure, I've been a few times and the customers are not much different from Millwall, Charlton anoraks fc are maybe low pressure but QPR ain't cocker , and they now consider Mick as a moosh in Shepherds Bush, which I believe isn't a good thing?

Correct - we played Killie game with less intensity and press than most of preseason friendlies - we MUST shut down from front to back tonight and have no passengers -we also must commit players by taking them on - far too busy looking for a pass in final third rather than getting defenders turning to face their own goal - only guy willing to take players on in regular basis in our current team is Cantwell - Sima seems reluctant to take the ball to them and that worries me -we need quality delivery into box something that was sorely missing v Killie- hopefully things will click tonight starting with 100% HARD WORK ALL OVER PITCH.

Allymc62 not much credit is due? You’re not wise man! That run to Seville was amazing we beat some unbelievable teams on the road to the final and played some great football! And in the champions league we probably couldn’t have gotten a much tougher group! And ok the league form was poor but like I said gio wasn’t backed in the transfer market like Beale has been and there’s quite a few players that aren’t doing it for him! I’m by no means calling for Beale to be sacked he deserves a chance, I believe we need to give managers time but I also believe gio more than justified his right to bring in his own players and to be given more time. We’ve had almost as many managers in the last 12 years as in our 140 year history before that it’s embarrassing.

Let's see what this week brings. Poor result in Europe and Beale is in major trouble. I understand that Saturday was the first game of the new season, however the nature of our loss has raise concerns and I can appreciate the negativity. We have had 3 weeks to be ready for Champions League qualifiers and look miles away. Hopefully, we will perform to an acceptable level and push on.

Gio the best manager since Walter, jeez you have got to be kidding . Steven Gerrard is the best, and possibly, only decent manager since Walter. Building the team to win the league and doing the groundwork in Europe for the eventual run to the final . GVBs tactics were key to this as well but it was mostly players S. G bought . As soon as GVB got to sign players we went down hill fast. As for Wolves wanting Beale unfortunately its not true as it could have been a good outcome for both parties.

Cantwell attitude is completely fine. In Fact he's even been praised by his last 4 managers at Norwich for how well he carries himself in training and out of it. One of them being Dean Smith who certainly isn't afraid to call any one out.

Rangers fans often come out with nonsense like this when things aren’t going according to plan.
After Rangers heavy defeat to Celtic under Warburton people came out with some fanciful stuff. Apparently Barton tried to go for Warburton but big Andy Halliday had to step in. That one always makes me laugh ?
When things were going wrong under Pedro there was a story about Niko Kranjcar losing the plot in training. Now, Kranjcar is the most laid back person you could ever meet. Kranjcar could be carded, score a goal, there was never much reaction. Also, Kranjcar was going back to New York with his model girlfriend after he finished at Rangers he couldn’t care less about the mess we were in.
Stories like this just go on and on. I think it's human nature to make things like this up to try and make sense of a situation. Especially when none of us have any actual clue what goes on at that training ground.
