Don't know if John has heard any rumblings but when I thought about not surprised that we never brought one or two in before the deadline, We don't know but even at this early stage do the board want to sanction more money for transfers to the manager when he hasn't felt the ones that have cost us the most in the summer haven't been good enough to start such important Champions League games.

The manager needs to make a case to the board as to why they should be spending money.

- The prize money for winning the SPFL is £3m. For second place you get more than £2m.
- A domestic cup earns only £300k when won.
- Rangers are already in the Europa League group stages and should be able to finish second and make the knockouts with what they have.

It doesn’t really make sense for the board to offer more money after we’ve been eliminated from the Champions League. They’ll tell Beale to go with what he has and reassess in January.

We signed 9 and only one of them looks any good and he`s a goalkeeper who has been tested far more often than he should in our team. £14 million spent on four guys who look useless, no wonder the board wouldn`t give him any more . Hope their lack of faith means that they are seriously considering his competence for the job. Still not too late to get rid and save our season .

As average as we seem to be just now, we are still good enough to win this league and that starts by winning tomorrow. Not only is their defence shaky but they are poor defensively in midfield, so being on the front foot is essential. My main worry is that MBs 4222 formation has not worked and we have only made progress when we have added pace and width. If he continues with what hasn't worked then it will be a testing season. Going 4411 on Wednesday with players who couldn't play in the positions given shows that he can't go that route either. Tomorrow will tell us a lot.
