Contracts in Scotland normally run until the last competitive game of the season which is the UCL final. That has certainly been the case the last few years, even at the lower league team I've been involved with.

don't know if it's just England but most contracts for footballers in Europe run until June 30th every year.

{Ed001's Note - Scottish contracts always run out a month earlier for some reason. They are an anomaly in European football.}

Ed do you have any information that the players out of contact can play the final? I was told earlier this morning 100% will play if Rangers make the sc final and I believe this info man knows what he is talking about.

{Ed001's Note - yes, contracts have to cover the full season under UEFA regs. Unless a player chooses not to, their contracts will just extend for a week iirc, like it would if the season was delayed due to bad weather or some other reason. If the game was postponed or the season delayed further, they can just keep extending to cover. If Scottish football wasn't so intent on saving a month's wages by ending the contracts a month earlier than the rest of Europe, this would never be an issue.}
