Just to give a little insight into the hiring process of managers.
If a club opens up a managerial vacancy to applications then they would usually have a long list of around 40. They would then have preliminary discussions with around 15-20 then it would narrow over rounds of talks to a shortlist of between 3 and 5. They 5 would then provide presentations to the board only then will a decision be made.

Don't underestimate your intelligence my friend there plenty so called clever people who couldn't be trusted running a bath.
