Everyone has their opinion on Tav, rightly so. For me. he means so much more to this club than £8M. I don’t think about the money I simply think about his time at the club and the way he has developed here. We all have our idea of a captain and for me someone like him who maybe wasn’t a natural leader but grew into that role, took every bit of criticism thrown at him, never ran away from his responsibilities when the going got tough but stayed and worked to improve, great professional and a role model to any young lads at the club and utterly robust, that’s a captain in my book. Posts fantastic numbers every year and people saying that’s easy to replace is nonsense IMO, maybe when he goes people will see how much he brought to the club. I absolutely hope he stays and finishes his career with us. He looks after himself and could play another 4-5 years for all we know. It’s important with so many new faces coming in that we have guys like him there who know what it’s about.

Tav has been a fantastic servant to our club and is up there with the greats in my eyes.

8m is a good offer but I tend to agree with what you’ve said. Been our best player pretty much since he stepped foot in the door and has stepped up on the big occasion so many times.

Bornblue I think you’re trying to put a price on memories witch of course are priceless but think with a business head on we’ve lost a fortune on bad business decisions and tav is definitely on the decline certainly not going to get any better if that’s a real offer it’s got to be considered!

HighlandBear you’re probably right mate, i’m thinking with emotion instead of a business head but at the same time this club is about the people too. If we weren’t talking about our captain and someone that had been through so much with us then i’d say absolutely take the money. I think a decision to sell a Rangers captain can’t just be about the money. We can make plenty of money if we’re smart with all of our signings but our captain is different for me. If he wants to go then that’s fair enough but if he’s happy to stay i’d keep him.

Born blue

You're being bit sentimental round Tav. He's a club asset pure/ simple. If we could get 8m for him bite hand off. More money for MB shape team he wants.

I think with the way things have gone lately and not selling players at their peak price, if Leeds came back with an improved offer of 10-12M then we would surly have to consider.
Sterling has not come here to be on the bench and have also young Devine.
I like tav but when going for a total rebuild of a squad not just an 11 cash like that can't be turned away, guarantee we would regret it. could also be cheeky and ask for Creswell as part of the deal :)
