See two lads released have signed for derby, Lindsay and Weston, not sure we get any development fee for Weston but should for Lindsay. This money all ads up. I remember when " Murray park" as it was opened we were told that it should be a conveyor belt for young talent and although most unfortunately won't make it some will but if a player wasn't going to make it at rangers then hopefully they would go down south etc and any fee's brought in would pay to keep training park running. In my opinion this gets overlooked as an income at times if you count how much the club has brought in for development fees etc over the years.

I’d imagine we would be due a cross border development fee for both.
Sometimes these rules all go over my head though.

Fair point bgate w, but in all honesty will it even be enough to keep the lights on at the training ground?
Another reason for the conveyor belt was to get young lads rolling occasionally into the first team. hows that going?

Think what’s perhaps happened with these lads is there blocking the path to 1st team for the age group underneath who we likely have higher hopes for so best to release them to get on with their careers elsewhere and it’s better for all concerned.
I’d imagine we’re due a fee of some sorts for all of them even if it’s nominal.
