Heard literally 5 minutes ago that the rangers board and the easdales in particular are looking to place kenny mcdowall on gardening leave before our semi-final against celtic and are mulling over the idea of appointing terry butcher as the rangers interim manager until the end of the season, durie & mcculloch will continue to work under butcher in the meantime, has anyone else heard this?What do you think ed?

I would hope that TB would show some support to the fans and stay well from Rangers while it is being run by the current board, also if he takes up this post and Dave king and a new board are appointed they may well want their on men in so would that leave us having to pay TB off?

I don't think butcher would get the majority of fans onside ED according to most polls he is way done the list of preferred managers me personally I would much rather Stuart McCall but only if he could be given a chance after the EGM as well

It makes sense even although it is more cash outlay. No point in keeping Kenny in charge as his heart is clearly not in it and this spreads to the players.

Well I can't believe fans want him is this just another case of well he was a great Rangers player so let's get him in as manager not for me anyway would make no sense for him to take the job no money players unhappy a board who could not give a dam about the team honestly who in their right mind would take the job until this board is out we will never move on

Butcher still on gardening leave from Hibs so that would need to be paid, that's why he couldn't take Motherwell job.
