A wee trip down memory lane, can any Bears remember Jim Steele think we signed him on loan from Southampton, now that's what you call a hard man, needless to say wouldn't last 5mins with today's snowflakes.

Yes 55, I can from memory he signed in blaze of glory in January or so, played 4 games on the bounce, got booked in every one and was suspended, a poor tam forsyth. Unsure if we kept him after that suspension.

Can't remember how many games he played but knew he got booked every game he played, I remember a midweek game at Ibrox against that mob he done a tackle on Joe Craig on the halfway line, I've never seen a player fly so high in my life.

Think he made his debut at Killie if I remember correctly . Alan Brazil told a story about Jim Steele owning a pub and when Brazil went in to see him he was wearing a gers top ha ha once a ranger always a ranger.

Remember him, had previously played with Dundee before moving to Southampton. Think he was member of the Southampton side that won FA cup in 1970s.

The stuck i hated hurlock playing to the masses with over the ball tackle. Graham Roberts was my kind of tough guy.

I remember many years ago, myself, my young Son, and a friend and his young Son spent an hour with the Rangers Team at the Marriott Hotel in Aberdeen prior to the Aberdeen game the following day. We were giving Graeme Roberts a POTY Gift, and he was great company, he got the who team over to sign autographs for the boys, we said jokingly to him, if you get the chance tomorrow try and put Charlie Nicholas into our corner, and hey, just before the game ended, he tackled Charlie right ant the corner flag, and guess where he ended up, brilliant, what a guy, and more important a gentleman.

Stuck Steele much harder than Hurluck. Roberts and Ian Ferguson also much tougher than hurluck.
