Mark Allen to leave rangers.

1.) 13 Sep 2019 21:05:14
? Where are you hearing this J.

2.) 13 Sep 2019 21:10:13
Saw it on google . a bit of a shock to be honest . he said family reasons . I hope all is well but I gave a sneaky feeling he has been headhunted . thanks mark fir your increadable work while at our great club.

3.) 13 Sep 2019 21:21:46
I cannot fathom why Mark Allen has left Absolutely gutted! If it's down to family reasons then fair enough I hope it's not anything to do with our club financially!

4.) 13 Sep 2019 21:35:43
Story breaking mark allen is new dof of Manchester United

Good luck to him, Mb he will send us a couple of loan players.

5.) 13 Sep 2019 21:36:35
Molsgoals rangers have now released statement.

6.) 13 Sep 2019 21:35:19
Kaz he is away fro. His family but I strongly suspect he has been headhunted. time will tell but at least he never left us in the lurch but in a good place . got horrible parinoia that the west of Scotland mentality might have something to do with it . hope not and that it’s all innocent.

7.) 13 Sep 2019 21:54:17
I've heard he's off to Man Utd. Don't know if it's true but that's what I've heard. He'll be a huge loss to us and I wish him all the best.

8.) 13 Sep 2019 23:09:22
Not happy to hear this. Thought he was here for the long term. Big loss.

Anyone got any ideas of who we could get to replace him?

9.) 14 Sep 2019 00:17:39
Should be applauded at Livingston game like the loss of a big player, he has been brilliant for us.

10.) 14 Sep 2019 10:35:59
Great DoF A hard one to replace as he was shrewd and worked from the ground up I don't see anyone being able to take charge of everything and do an exceptional job like he did! I hope I am wrong!

A great man and hopefully will be recognised for his great work on and off the field and forever be a Legend! 💙.

11.) 14 Sep 2019 10:38:36
Yes gram I hope everyone at ibrox can sing something like "There's only one Mark Allen" as a tribute to his good work!

12.) 14 Sep 2019 12:17:54
Lets all hope it's no a case of jumping before he gets pushed and Stevie is no next to go.

13.) 14 Sep 2019 12:34:39
Why would that be the case?

14.) 14 Sep 2019 13:02:34
Why would he jumped before he was pushed if that was the case. And give up on a payoff?

15.) 14 Sep 2019 17:02:54
Talk club Europe that dof was getting too big for his boots.
Was falling out with most people and interfering in team matters.

16.) 14 Sep 2019 19:33:36
What about ex celtic head scout John park as his replacement. I'm not sure if he's in work just now but I think he could do a good job.

17.) 14 Sep 2019 19:27:55
I would like to see us continue our ambition and bring in another quality DOF. No matter the reason it being family issues or behind the scenes clashes he did a good job and should be applauded and wished well in his future. Anyone got any ideas about potential replacements?

18.) 15 Sep 2019 10:31:21
Davie Robertson that is probably the worst suggestion I've ever heard for any position at our club. The man's a charlatan who carried more luck in his tenure as a glorified scout than anyone else in the history of the game.

19.) 15 Sep 2019 12:35:34
Two names being touted were Bain or Souness. Apparently Souness would walk over hot coals to get a chance.
Personally can’t see it.

02 Sep 2019 22:57:43
Dodoo freed, good clear out.
Pity we can't move Grezda.

1.) 03 Sep 2019 07:50:35
We might actually need Grezda now that both Jones and Barker are injured. The guy must have something. Why not give him a chance? He has hardly played at all.

2.) 03 Sep 2019 12:32:31
Seeker u may be right we need Grezda, I agree there is a player in there.

02 Sep 2019 22:26:40
Holt, twelve month loan to st Johnstone, then free.

02 Sep 2019 14:38:58
Dorrans freed with a small pay off, good business that saves some money over rest of contract.
He was never going to play for us again.
I wish him well.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 14:49:12
Yip good luck doza, it just didn't work through many injuries, at your boyhood club.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 15:38:24
'Good business' - this was horrific business. The guy was a crock before he arrived. Check his injury history. This signing was terrible terrible terrible a total binning of at least £2M. And you think it's good business to pay him off?

3.) 02 Sep 2019 15:55:12
Best of luck dozza. but we really do struggle to move players on without paying them off.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 16:17:14
Jzer all clubs do.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 16:36:54
rfcrb1872 - I agree mate - another 2mill down the drain to line someones pockets in their last big contract.
Will we ever learn!

6.) 02 Sep 2019 18:55:04
John, we seem to either let guys go buy mutual consent or we pay them off, far more often than other sides seem too. Points at us paying over the odds for salaries.

7.) 02 Sep 2019 18:59:16
whilst i didnt, there was plenty support thinking he was a great signing at the time.

02 Sep 2019 14:02:39
Hastie away years loan, good move to get game time.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 14:42:49
would have been better loaning him back to Motherwell = he would have been playing every week and improving against teams where he will make his living.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 15:44:58
We already know what he can offer to Motherwell. The is about taking Hastie out of his comfort zone and and seeing how he adapts to a new systems and playing style. Good move imo.

3.) 02 Sep 2019 16:41:10
Stewartyblue - then play the guy! he has been training in this 'new' system and style daily for the past 3 months
If he hasn't got a grip by now - he will be the next Docherty.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 19:37:45
Bar72 I'm not talking about our systems/ style. I'm talking about Rotherhams as we already know what he offered Motherwell
I rate Hastie as a good prospect. The big prob for him is the way we play, as we normally only go with one winger and an AM so the likes of ojo, Anfield and Stewart are ahead of him in his position. SG will play Kent, Jones or Barker on the left.
So game time will be limited for him, better he developes against better teams than Hamilton ect bud.

Only my opinion.

BBC Scotland showing Scotland under 19s, four off our academy boys starting, maxwell and mcpake playing well.

1.) 15 Oct 2019 20:13:58
Aye but our youngsters haven't made it for years mate, may as well turn over and us release them all 😉.

2.) 15 Oct 2019 20:15:40
Good goal from mcpake.

3.) 15 Oct 2019 20:37:59
I want to see a few of these german's birth certificates 🤣 they are bloody massive for bairns.

4.) 15 Oct 2019 21:03:55
Snell correct, but we stood up well too them.
Kennedy and mebube did not hide despite some brutal challenges.

5.) 15 Oct 2019 21:22:00
We did indeed mate. Actually enjoyed watching the game, a rare feeling for a Scotland game these days!

6.) 15 Oct 2019 21:33:11
Agree snell, what u think off Hamilton centre half from Hamilton accies.

7.) 15 Oct 2019 22:52:59
Accies are painful to watch but a lad at u19 getting a regular game is a decent sign. Whole back four done a cracking job mate.

8.) 16 Oct 2019 10:09:28
Our boy maxwell at left back was excellent.

9.) 16 Oct 2019 10:17:20
I think our academy is in the best position its been in for years👍.

10.) 16 Oct 2019 11:30:38
Tend to agree coldo, five players under 19 last night, four in under 21s. Several in under 17.
This does not include six in norther Ireland age group squads and Nathan Coombes in England under 18 and scoring.
We seem to be doing something correct, also believe balde was in a Portugal squad.

11.) 16 Oct 2019 11:31:25
Snell the boy Hamilton is only 17, big lad and good feet.

12.) 16 Oct 2019 14:27:45
To my mind, it really shouldn't matter who the kids play for at that age, if they are good enough, play them. There has been too much emphasis that anyone plying their trade in English Football eg, will be better than our home bred players. Good luck to all our youngsters, as sure as hell we need them coming through.

13 Oct 2019 19:13:58
See Shankland scored. Mb I'm wrong, get in there and sign him. I reckon two million plus Morelos will get him.

1.) 13 Oct 2019 19:45:24
Coz he's not as good as morelos doesn't make him a bad player john. Lad will do s good job for someone in spl no doubt, he'd score for us eith the chances we make as well.

2.) 13 Oct 2019 19:58:13
Shankland hardly kicked a ball tonight and looked out of his depth again against part time players. The same against Russia. Like a few have said before. Nicky Clarke banged one the goals in the lower leagues and did nothing for us.

3.) 13 Oct 2019 20:36:29
Because nicky clark couldn't make the step up, doesn't mean lawrence shankland can't blue nose. Every player is different and shankland could end up making a helluva lot of people on here, eat their words. You just never know. Remember jamie vardy playing non league football?

4.) 13 Oct 2019 20:44:00
SGL Shankland is a headless chicken.

5.) 13 Oct 2019 20:53:47
Saw Shankland against Alloa last Friday night and expected a lot more. Alloa centre half’s were all over him. On that showing he is championship standard at best. A week later he is playing for Scotland against Russia. The Scottish national team is really in a bad way if he can be one of our centre forwards.

6.) 13 Oct 2019 20:54:47
Sorry but as usual I don’t see this desperate need to highlight the negatives of any professional player.

Clearly Shankland would run rings around any expert on here.

Whether SG rates him or not only time will tell. Until he signs or not why waste your breath slagging him off?

The fact the our national team won comfortably no matter the oppositions should be a positive thing.

7.) 13 Oct 2019 21:24:11
Hes already had his chance at higher level. Aberdeen and St mirren. Grand total of zero.

8.) 13 Oct 2019 21:36:14
Dk 19 not interested in the sfa team.

9.) 13 Oct 2019 21:41:28
If we are only allowed to comment on players we are personally better than then it will turn into a very quiet forum 🤣.

10.) 13 Oct 2019 22:14:15
Always the same on here DK . People dying to be negative, at least there leaving our players alone for the time being .

11.) 14 Oct 2019 09:04:04
I would be happy if we got him, not for £2million though, that's mental money for someone in that league will prob call it £3million now he has an international goal.
But I do agree why is everyone so hostile towards him. His value I would have though would have been £500,000 with a sell on %.

12.) 14 Oct 2019 12:32:05
fintyfint I'm not hostile towards the boy, I have actually seen him play and in my humble opinion he is nowhere near good enough for us and never will be. Let him get on with his modest career and let us go forward with the class of player we require. Seems to me the Moult/ Walker brigade would be happy for us to wallow in mediocrity.

13.) 14 Oct 2019 16:26:02
Finty not hostile against Shankland, like everyone on here I have my opinion. I hope the boy does really well for himself, but like everyone on here I want the best for our great club and to win the league.
People talk on here re more rangers players in Scotland team doing well, we don’t exactly have many Scots.
Although amount of academy boys delivering is a massive improvement on last few years, representing Scotland, England and NI.
On a more positive note re international’s this week we have seen our players represent their countries, ie Barisic, Davis, Aribo, Kamara, Morelos, Helander, Polster and Arfield at training camps and Jones and Jack out injured. Two years ago we did not have players getting in squads.
International experience improves our players and also enhances their profile, all good for our club .
We r going forward for sure.

14.) 14 Oct 2019 18:31:19
the best way for us not to be hostile is to not mention him. apart from not being good enough we would buy him loan him out then sell him on for a loss. he wouldn't get a game unless 2 strikers in front of him broke a leg and couldn't play because be assured SG would play Defoe or Morelos everytime even if they were having a bad day in the office, so if he wants to come and warm the bench once in a while then does that not show lack of ambition for him?

10 Oct 2019 19:14:30
Some our academy boys showing up well for under 19 and under 21s.
Patterson mebube score.
Middleton excellent mom, also Kelly making debut, great pass to Middleton, Kelly should have scored.
Mccrorie stand out defender.

05 Oct 2019 18:10:36
Went to firhill today. . Palmer very average, mcrorie played very well and won heis team three points, definitely looks to have a future.

1.) 05 Oct 2019 18:59:40
Looking like Mcrorie could be backup to MCGREGOR next season as Fod’s contract expires. Sounds like he could be up to the job.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 23:36:46
Not sure if greegs will be our No1 next year. Great goalie for us but sometimes looks like he's getting slower to get down to things and not getting any younger.

29 Sep 2019 10:46:41
Sad to see Joe Mason has passed away

1.) 29 Sep 2019 12:10:12
Sorry to hear that about Joe Mason. Remember him scoring a late winner up at Arbroath for us in the early seventies. He was at end of his career when he came to us but a good footballer. RIP.

Lot of talk here about hickey and our academy. Five off our boys played for under 19s who beat Germany with mcpake scoring.
Best two players on park ch from Hamilton accies worth watching.
Mom James maxwell our left back, so why spend two million on hickey when we have very good potential in our own academy.

What I do know from a players dad, that day when it all kicked off Murty was not in the dressing room.
Someone was gunning for them, I believe it was to do with leaked stories.

Agree SGL hastie has bags of potential, he just needs to keep working very hard to get better.
