Hearing we are trying to strike a deal for Nisbet. Cash plus Barker being offered.

FruitBear

1.) 31 Aug 2021 20:40:22
Can't see it mate. They want 5m.

2.) 31 Aug 2021 20:43:44
Would be well happy with that.

3.) 31 Aug 2021 20:47:47
Absolute nonsense.

4.) 31 Aug 2021 20:48:27
Definitely think something could happen to fill in for itten.

5.) 31 Aug 2021 20:49:41
If Hibs were to take Barker in part exchange then it would knock around 30 quid off the asking price.

6.) 31 Aug 2021 20:50:38
Fingers crossed.

7.) 31 Aug 2021 21:01:56
Nonsense rangers not signing anyone cause they never made the CL.

8.) 31 Aug 2021 21:04:25
Can’t see it happening.

9.) 31 Aug 2021 21:11:54
Yes i'm hearing this story about kevin nisbet possibly coming to us but i seriously doubt at, as hibs quoted swansea £5million for nisbet this afternoon and they won't budge on that fee! We won't/ can't pay that 😞 John25,have you heard anything of us having any interest in signing kevin nisbet before the window closes tonight mate 🤔.

10.) 31 Aug 2021 21:33:44
Typical rangers nothing to excite us with.

11.) 31 Aug 2021 21:44:49
Fruit bear u saw that on that youtube channel can mind whos channel it is but its 3 gers fans on it n they said hibs want 5mill but the gers fans laughed n said either 2mill or 3mill and throw in barker n they all laughed that's were this story started.

12.) 31 Aug 2021 21:46:49
We couldn't give Barker away in a lucky bag just now.

13.) 31 Aug 2021 21:47:51
Tbh I don’t see Hibs selling him to us now so late in the day. They won’t have the time to replace him. Only passing on what I heard that a bid offered.

Three cheers, proper laughed at that comment mate lol.

14.) 31 Aug 2021 21:59:33
DSGERS I heard it from someone who’s normally pretty good with info. Only passing on what I heard. Not saying I think it will happen, my initial reaction to him when he told me was ‘no chance we are paying that kind of money’ but he says there’s some mileage in the interest from Rangers.

15.) 31 Aug 2021 21:59:47
As i said earlier how did we not sign this young man from Dunfermline for a few hundred grand. You buy him and loan him to league above then review. Incredible that Celtic have over fed themselves with transfer fees and we are eating out the bins. Someone is not doing their job if we need to sell players.

16.) 31 Aug 2021 22:02:09
Think we need someone in cz it only takes a suspension n an injury then we are short up top. hopefule atleast 1 could be brought in.

17.) 31 Aug 2021 22:17:29
Jking because he was deemed nowhere near good enough for us back then, simple really mate.

18.) 31 Aug 2021 22:22:31
Not worried about team. Worried about how we are getting run and operated. Every team sells players but we seem to give them away. Trust Gerrard and staff just not anyone above. Act like a big club Rangers.

19.) 31 Aug 2021 22:38:39
Jking what is the point of saying why didn’t we sign him back then We didn’t do it’s a pointless statement to make.

20.) 31 Aug 2021 22:43:15
Don’t know how you can worried about how we are getting run? The guys running the club are putting money out their own pockets to make sure we don’t need to flog our stars on the cheap. Bids rebuffed for Morelos, Kent, Patterson. All because they didn’t meet our valuation. Yes, Rangers have stated we want to implement a strategy to develop and then sell players to generate income, but only if the valuations are met. If they are not met, they won’t be sold on the cheap.

Said it yesterday if we don’t bring anyone in but keep hold of all our best players then that’s a win for us and a big statement from the board for covering the money lost from failing to get into champs league.

21.) 31 Aug 2021 23:01:47
We (Rangers) won’t sign anyone this window. Been a spectator of the page for a while and I know it’s based on rumours and the occasional BS lol. But I like it lol it keeps me entertained along with others lol 56 here we come.

22.) 31 Aug 2021 23:32:39
I see McCann rumoured to be signing for Preston for £1m That would have been a worthwhile punt for us. Good young player.

23.) 01 Sep 2021 06:38:13
BB just shy of 2 million for the kid.

24.) 01 Sep 2021 09:04:29
One million for mcannn. We were allegedly being quoted in excess 3 million
There was no move for Nisbet.
A very good window imo. Barisic Paterson staying
Morelos kent Kelly staying

Still need to move Barker next week or two.

Hearing that a couple of our first team players been issued with C.V. fines while at a house party last night. No names given, only passing on what I've been told by a Rangers supporter with some knowledge of the incident. Hoping it's not the case, stupidity from those involved if true.

FruitBear

1.) 02 Nov 2020 11:35:45
Heard Jones is one of them that's him out the club for good too many chances.

2.) 02 Nov 2020 11:42:06
Heard it’s Jordan Jones and big Edmundson.

3.) 02 Nov 2020 11:49:13
Two of them should be dismissed. We can’t have anything disrupt our club this year. If it’s grounds for sacking then they should go. Make an example of them.

4.) 02 Nov 2020 12:20:22
Get where you’re coming from c of Ibrox but we can’t just dismiss a couple million quid. Maybe jones can go by mutual consent in January but Edmundson is worth what £2m? Can’t sack 1 without the other and can’t sign a replacement for Edmundson TIL January so perhaps he will survive it with jones moving on in jan for nominal fee or a free. Get you’re point though mate 👍🏻.

5.) 02 Nov 2020 12:36:41
I gerrard sell them in January get some money in.

6.) 02 Nov 2020 13:45:36
Pity mate the fridge had a lot of potential I really liked look of him also backed up the “rangers fan as a kid” Patter with hard evidence of photographs. Really could’ve been a good player for us in the next couple of seasons. His problem now is how strong we are in defence with the 4 atm plus Katic to come back then young mayo and king behind them. It’s not going to be easy for him to come back from this.

30 Jan 2020 10:53:22
Bhardwaj has reported that Miller is resigning on a deal to end of the season. Deary me Rangers, we must be rooked.

FruitBear

1.) 30 Jan 2020 11:10:50
FruitBear, we are rooked or did you miss the AGM?

2.) 30 Jan 2020 11:14:18
tweet was from 2014

calm doon!

3.) 30 Jan 2020 11:24:47
OMG read things properly before you post, there is no way Miller will be back, we ll put Mebude in before that.

4.) 30 Jan 2020 11:29:42
I would like to see Grant Murray from Brighton on loan.

5.) 30 Jan 2020 11:44:02
Couily I’ll try and read things properly from now on lol! No as bad as some of the rubbish folk blatantly make up, Foden, Lallana, Abraham lol.

6.) 30 Jan 2020 12:59:43
Agreed that not reading something properly is no where near as bad as ridiculous posts, our driver to the game last night suggested we get. wait for it. Jamie Vardy on loan but thinks the only problem is Brendan would nt let him come! I thought he was joking but he kept on saying it. had to ridicule him repeatedly until he stopped saying it.

7.) 30 Jan 2020 13:22:03
Rhodes can't play up front on his own so he wo 't fit the system. Don't be surprised if a bid goes in for Naismith or Cosgrove.

8.) 30 Jan 2020 13:40:57
Hagi the son of the legend currently at Genk will come in, seen as a creative player. Plus contacted 2 forwards about the possibility of short term deal or loan.

9.) 30 Jan 2020 14:02:22
We should go for Will Grigg not wanted at Sunderland no more.

10.) 30 Jan 2020 14:04:03
We should go for Will Grigg not wanted at sunderland.

11.) 30 Jan 2020 14:24:27
I will be surprised thank you.

12.) 30 Jan 2020 18:15:58
Why would we sign a player from league 1 that can't gets game for his club. Will Grigg has a good song and that's all.

13.) 30 Jan 2020 20:19:38
Why don’t we just bite the bullet and sign Edward for the 3 million the smellies want? Ok he wouldn’t get a game as he would be third choice but it’s a good back up . and I am sure he loves the Gers.

26 Jan 2020 10:06:46
Seen a few rumours doing the rounds this morning that Windass might be coming back on loan. It really sure I'd believe it as Gerrard wasn't really keen on him 1st time round.

FruitBear

1.) 26 Jan 2020 10:26:47
He is the opposite of what Gerrard wants from players. Billy big time attitude, poor work rate and hides in games. If we loan back a guy that can't get in the Wigan team then we are done for.

2.) 26 Jan 2020 11:53:16
Nonsense imo, read a report that we were ‘right to cash in at what we did and when we did’ as his value ain’t quite what it was in spite of him maturing.

Windass is a step backwards, a player in there somewhere, but he’s not Rangers class or anything like what we need, in fact he’s much in Th e category at the stuff we’ve been offloading.

3.) 26 Jan 2020 12:15:27
Snell totally agree, can’t see it being true.

4.) 26 Jan 2020 12:55:22
He can score from midfield though!

5.) 26 Jan 2020 13:30:52
more click bait.

6.) 26 Jan 2020 14:23:46
He was absolute garbage, had the least amount of heart of any player I’ve ever seen. Was delighted he left and will be both amazed and raging if he comes back.

7.) 26 Jan 2020 14:52:32
Garbage is a bit harsh! He did show some potential, but you need to do it every week playing for Gers🇬🇧.

8.) 26 Jan 2020 17:31:50
I would take windass back as after watching todays first half we will be in trouble if we do not have morelos and jermain as we do not have any cover for striker we need on before jan closes.

9.) 26 Jan 2020 18:04:12
Defo need a striker in.

10.) 28 Jan 2020 17:14:30
It is windass who is pushing for the move back to rangers. Wigan still owe money to rangers.

02 Sep 2019 23:22:11
Hearing Kent and konate will both be announced at midnight. Bold if true.

FruitBear

1.) 03 Sep 2019 00:14:12
Ryan kent has been announced dead on midnight, no news of any other signing. Absolutely delighted with the signing of ryan kent, on a permanent 4 year deal. Mikael lustig will also be over the moon that he's now away from them, with kent's return to rangers now confirmed. 😂.

2.) 03 Sep 2019 06:03:32
Sure he was over the moon with his Treble that he left with 😂.

3.) 03 Sep 2019 08:21:23
Raman Bhardwaj has tweeted that Kent and Konate were both coming but just before Kent was announced the Konate tweets were deleted. Maybe try ed but failed or his info was rubbish.

Delighted we got Kent.

4.) 03 Sep 2019 12:11:31
Mate it was a fake account that said about konate although I wish it was true. "stvranan" it was.

Absolutely devastated to hear of Jimmy Bell passing this morning. A huge part of the fabric of our club, Jimmy installed many great traditions within the 1st team dressing room. He may never have played for Rangers but Rangers was his life and he lived his dream for 41 years.

Rest in peace Jimmy. A proper club legend.

Not long back from Hampden. What a day!

Thought we lacked a bit of quality in the final 3rd today but made up for it with unbelievable effort. Pressing, turning over possession, working hard for the team and a phenomenal amount of character.

Celtic were not at the races but that's in large down to Rangers smothering them. We didn't let them play.

This kind of performance is the type we love the most in old firms but to do it just a couple of days after 120 minutes on Thursday is terrific!

This team sometimes frustrates me and sometimes isn't clinical enough but if they show the effort like that win, lose or draw, I'll never criticise them!

💙🖐🗡🛡.

FruitBear

1.) 17 Apr 2022 21:43:55
Agree fruitbear
If they leave it outthere then I've no complaint. 240 minutes of non stop effort in 3 days. That'll do for me my man.

2.) 18 Apr 2022 05:42:20
Where has that fight in the team being since Jan Apart from Europe and today If we had that we would be still going for a treble.

3.) 18 Apr 2022 11:28:38
Storm factually we can still win a treble? Sundays game for them will be interesting.

05 Apr 2022 17:03:42
Seen that's Alfredo out for the rest of the season. Disaster.

FruitBear

1.) 05 Apr 2022 17:12:11
Seen that FruitBear and i hope to god i'm wrong but i firmly believe we won't see alfredo morelos in a rangers shirt again ☹️I don't know what gio will be able to come up with upfront against celtic in the scottish cup semi final as buff is a massive loss ☹️.

2.) 05 Apr 2022 17:12:15
See his injury was sustained while on international duty.

3.) 05 Apr 2022 17:15:15
We are fecked big time.

4.) 05 Apr 2022 17:22:50
Could have played his last game i think. let's hope he signs a new deal but really can't see it.

5.) 05 Apr 2022 17:44:35
It’s life, just need to get on with it.

6.) 05 Apr 2022 17:49:14
He has been carrying the injury for last 4 games at least every game last 20 mins he was feeling his thigh.

7.) 05 Apr 2022 17:50:55
Who would you play up front against celtic in the semi final fellow bears 🤔.

8.) 05 Apr 2022 17:56:15
Had it b4 he left barrow. Should never have played at dundee.

9.) 05 Apr 2022 17:59:55
We are where we are John it’s easy to say “just need to get on with it “ but who would you play up front we tried Roofe on Sunday playing him as if he was Alphie high ball into the box it just didn’t work so do we change the way we play and go two up I fear our lack of investment and over reliance of Alphie will come back to bite us.

10.) 05 Apr 2022 18:10:58
Gio is to blame for playing him at Dundee as he was clearly injured after the Belgrade game.

11.) 05 Apr 2022 18:38:42
Is this as bad as it's become? Cacking our pants because one player is injured. Have we now become a team that relies one a single player being fit? If so we are well and truly effed.
Roofe is not Alfie but he knows what he's doing. Adapt to his strengths as sweep said above and maybe we'll get the best out of him.

12.) 05 Apr 2022 18:58:43
This idea that they have said he picked it up on International duty is nonsense. Red Star at home he was stretching his leg out and hobbling after about 60 mins and Gio left him on, in a game we were 3-0 up already! He then played him the Sunday against Dundee and again in the away leg to Red Star. I feel this injury is down to poor management.

He may still have needed the surgery I suppose but surely by playing him in those games that’s made it worse.

We surely must revert to the 3-5-2 now. Kent up alongside either Roofe or Sakala depending on who we are playing. Neither Roofe or Sakala can play the lone striker role but with 2 up top and the full backs pushing on it might actually suit us.

Kent and Sakala away to Braga might be a better option than Roofe as they will play a high line, we will be sitting deep and trying to counter and those 2 with their pace will offer a good threat in behind.

Just don’t feel you can afford a penalty box player like Roofe away in a European quarter final. Need 10 outfield players willing to press and put a shift in which isn’t what he is about.

13.) 05 Apr 2022 20:20:30
Get Lowry into the side and in a very forward position, attacking from edge of the box, it’s Aribo and Kent who have let us down badly, and often, let Lowry loose on them at Hampden with Lundstrum and jack behind him, and allow roofe a roving role across the line.

14.) 05 Apr 2022 20:44:10
I wonder if it’s to do with insurance, blame Columbia.

15.) 05 Apr 2022 20:47:19
Sakala has enough pace and I try him with Kent at least they will find space in behind and both can get down the lines we need Ramsay to play supporting role.

16.) 05 Apr 2022 21:02:58
3-5-2 might be an option or 4-4-2.
Leave it up to GVB but 3-5-2 might leave us a bit open at the back.
McGregor
Tav
Goldson
Balogun
Bassey
Lundstram
Jack
Kamara
Aribo
Sakala
Kent.

17.) 06 Apr 2022 00:42:08
Think you are probably right about the insurance John!

Copland I’d prob go with similar as Lundstram can go between midfield and defence so could be back 4 or 3, Only change i'd make is Ramsey for Aribo. He needs to sit out for a few games. Been terrible.

18.) 06 Apr 2022 01:33:34
Copland how can Aribo be in your side?

03 Feb 2022 00:03:42
I never get too low after a bad result or too high after a good one but the last half a dozen games have been an absolute disgrace.

When GVB came in we had this poor record of conceding early in games, he seemed to address that straight away by making us more solid, but how negative is he as a manager? It's like he can't get the balance right.

So many games we've taken the lead and just sat back and invited pressure, it's cost us points at Aberdeen and Ross County, we got away with it at Hibs and Hearts, we've struggled against Dundee Utd and Livy at home. He just doesn't inspire at all for me.

I am desperate for him to prove me wrong but his team selection left me baffled tonight playing Bassey at CB after his errors on Saturday and also his demeanour and interviews, it's like he's got no passion or motivation for it. After the game he said 'it looked like we weren't ready for this game' it's his job to get hem right up for it.

Celtic have lost more games than us this season and are now a point ahead, full of confidence because in this period where they were missing loads of their best players, they have (maybe fortuitously) taken maximum points and we have dropped 7!

Absolutely horrendous form we are in and tbh it's hard not to blame the manager.

FruitBear

1.) 03 Feb 2022 07:23:39
Great post Fruit.

2.) 03 Feb 2022 08:48:20
I said it at the time that in my opinion Gio was not the manager for us - let's be honest an 11th finish in the Chinese league and i am not interested in any excuses about his tenure there his tactics and team wete awful - since he came in we have been very poor and in tecent weeks just plain awful - we are not good enough to play his tactical way - all this back passing and cross field passing and basically fannying around in front of our goals are his tactics - it doesn't work in the SPL just look at how they approach every game including last nights - they are only interested in getting the ball into the opposition half as quickly as possible and it certainly worked for them last night. Where we go from here i don't know but in supporting Rangers for 50 years last night was up there in the top embarrassing gutless and clueless displays in the Old Firm games - 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

Possibly the funniest thing I've seen on sporting television last night, Chris Sutton having to discuss the possibility of Alfredo Morelos getting a FAIR PLAY award! :L.

I’d be surprised if he’s went to Union for money, they tend to work with a smaller budget. They have narrowly missed out on Champions Legaue this season, drawn to many games so maybe he sees them as a club on the up, their rise over the last few years has been superb. They are actually a German team I follow and I’ve been to watch them a few times. Was looking forward to seeing Doehki Turn out for us but maybe it’ll be the stadium in the old forest that I see him play.

If we keep Goldson and Morelos I’d be absolutely delighted. Offering Goldson more wages and keeping him would likely end up a far easier option than trying to sign someone good enough to replace him. Has a few errors in him no doubt but his distribution from the back is absolutely superb and something we capitalise of regularly, that and the fact he’s always available is a big plus for me.

Out of all our valuable assets that could go if it was Kamara then I’d say that was a win. Kamara is hardly getting a game these days and when he does he’s not the same player, for me he’s one of the ones that bottles it under pressure. Is it any great surprise his best season came when there was no crowds in?

Can’t see us parting with Tav for £7m. I know he’s 30 and that’s decent money for someone of his age but how much would you need to buy someone to reproduce what he does in this day and age? I’d be holding out until it entered the ‘stupid money’ stage where we don’t have an option to refuse. Not sure he would want to go either?

We didn't play anything near the heights of Leipzig or other previous games in Europe this year but honestly the conditions were tough last night. It was absolutely boiling all day and night. definitely impacted us (and probably Frankfurt too) . I'm disappointed we couldn't reach the same levels as before but it was not really unexpected given the heat.

He went with same as Leipzig but that performance was all about pressing and energy, very hard to do that in the tough heat yesterday, resulted in us going direct quite more than previously but we didn't have the right players on the park for that to be effective either. I really wonder how fit Roofe actually was? He got more joy in 3 minutes than Wright or Sakala did the whole time they were on the park, might have given him the last half hour or even just the whole of Extra time to see if he could have been a better focal point for our attack.

I'd be worried about anyone who played the full 120 mins for Saturday, physically those conditions last night will have taken absolutely loads out of them.

Just back from Seville MPH and attended the game. Heres my personal experience

Seville as a place did quite well leading up to the game. Loads of taxi's available to get people about yesterday, the fanzone for fans with tickets was good location wise, plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops for carryouts and food. Portaloo's installed and was all well managed.

The handling of events at the stadium and post match was poor, mostly at the hands of the local police who seem eager to be awkward and confrontation. They had 4 entrances for the stadium A, B, C and D (A and B was for Frankfurt end, C and D was for Rangers end) . Lots of streets taking you into the stadium were blocked off by police and they would only allow you into that street if you had a ticket for the entrance that it would lead to. I had my tickets in the UEFA general sale area which for me was Entrance B (which was also marked as a designated Frankfurt entrance. The police would not allow me to enter at least 4 streets to the stadium due to being a Rangers fan, even though my ticket was in that area and i couldn't get access to the Rangers end because my ticket was in the other section. We ended up buying Europa league final t shirts from the merchandise stand so that the police would let us enter a street to our entrance.

To be fair, once we got to the entrance it was mixed with fans wearing Rangers and Frankfurt colours and the stewards didn't bat an eyelid but the police some several hundred yards further back up the street leading onto the stadium were causing so much bother by blocking the streets off with these reasons.

In the stadium they shut the kiosks when the match was starting, no soft drinks or water available for anyone despite it still being in the 30 degree bracket. Some of the kiosks that were open before the game only had 1 person serving and not all of them were even open. So there was a lot of queues and then people gave up thinking they could try again after KO, but once they closed that was it. Someone else mentioned they had shut off the drinking fountains as well but i never even saw any of those. Left people soaking themselves or drinking tap water from the toilet sinks.

After the game again the police were being awkward, not letting you walk certain ways (was trying to meet up with people in our group that had sat in different end of the stadium) and the worst thing for me was there was pretty much no taxi's available to get anywhere. We wandered about the centre to various taxi ranks, phoned and tried online to secure a taxi and even tried Uber but none were available. Taxi drivers had basically just vanished from the city centre when lots of us were trying to get back to the airport for flights. After 4 hours we eventually managed to get a local guy who was going to his work to drop us off at the airport for 50 euro lol. Thankfully my flight had been delayed 2 hours or we would have missed it.

They did very well with all the fans before the game but they put little to no effort into facilities at the stadium and then post match for transport etc, i don't think the game going to pens helped the situation as most people had ended their shift for the night.

Had my daughter with me so didn't really want to be hanging about the streets all through the night but we weren't the only ones so safety in numbers was a bit more re-assuring.

We've seen with Roofe (and others) in the past that 1st game back after injury there's always a bit of rustiness in their play. If he doesn't get minutes in his legs in the remaining 2 league games i wouldn't start him in the final. If fit be handy option off the bench i suppose. Also think Dado makes a great point regarding Wright or Diallo, I also think Ramsey might push for that place as well. Possibly move Aribo wide right and play Ramsey as the false 9.

The problem with these finals is you get all the idiots going who have really no interest in the football and only with getting absolutely steaming and causing bother. I really hope i am wrong but i can see it being total carnage. Expect the Germans to travel in massive numbers as well and will no doubt be clashes.
