For years I’ve wanted a midfielder with a nasty side to mix it up when we are getting bullied. Not for 1 minute is anything about John lundstram nasty but I think we have finally found someone who won’t take any nonsense but still conduct himself with dignity and in the appropriate manner.

I agree Capt our midfield has been crying out for a combative box to box midfielder that can also play. I put my hands up I never saw the transformation in him as being a possibility but he’s one of first names on team sheet now and was outstanding in latter part of season and deserved the fanfare song.
The other position that has been needing sorted for more than a good few years is RM/ RW and I’d love us to go for Akinkunmi Amoo, go watch this kid on utube, he would get bums off seats every game and go for around 3M. I get the Kent stats debate, yes he needs to score more but he is doubled up on every game, when the right side is sorted with quality Kent’s game will flourish as he will have more space to play in.

We still need a nasty streak in the side I think there's a lot to be said for a midfield hammer thrower.

Bears, when big John appeared I was sceltical thought we had acquired a lump. But then I think it was his 3rd game I noticed a turn of pace/ eagerness when tracking back. He sure has done himself and us proud with his ownership when results aren't joyful. Fair play big man all you can do is yer best. I feel he's a goodun for the Gers ?.

Chunky, I'm with you. I thought we had required the player that looked disinterested in his latter days at Sheffield Utd., rather than the combative player that we have today. For me a lot of that is down to GVB and we now have the player that he clearly is.

We have a good nucleus of quality players assuming we can hold on to most of them this summer, and we have some very good young players coming through with McCann looking like another good acquisition.

For me we are just three or four players short of a team that can dominate Scottish Football and continue to do well in Europe.
