I see lots of folk saying Gio's signings have been not good. I think on the whole they have been good and it's just unbelievably unlucky half of them have picked up injuries. Here is my thoroughly detailed assessment and the wheel chair denotes injured player.
Colak ✔️

Davies✔️ ?

Lawrence✔️ ?

Tilman✔️
getting better every game

Sands✔️
when played in his proper position

Matondo❓
never gets a start on the left which is his favoured position

Yilmaz✔️ ?.

I totally agree. Personally think summer window was very good. 1st choice keeper and would have been excellent.

The lack of quality in squad is due to previous few windows which were severely impacted by the C.V. season. It's the reason SG left as money just wasn't there.

I agree with that viewpoint three cheers. I would also add Davies to your list, based on what I have seen to date.

Three cheers ; your saying Gio’s signings I’m not so sure on that one may be wrong but.

The biggest miss for me has been Lawrence. He is always looking to drive forward and be positive. We have missed his creativity and experience in attacking areas.

Twacoos Gio states he approves every signing, sits down with wilso goes through listoff names and then states who he wants

There is podcast re sands Gio says I brought him too rangers attention as I worked with him whilst I was at city group mcaay I’d Tillman through his contact with Bayern

He says he knew matondo and vos speaks highly off him

The one I think was not a Gio signing was Davies, I think that was a rush job,

get yer other eye in john boy, davies is on the list

the issue for me isn’t the players brought in, it’s the failure to set them up properly to compete and stifle better teams, there’s a way to set up in games where you know your going to be under extreme pressure, gio never found that way once

this lead to humiliation and players losing concentration and confidence and increases fan pressure.

That's up to you Twacoos but i don't think for 1 minute that Gio turns up to Murray park on a Monday morning and R Wilson says to him "by the way Gio good news i spent 4 million quid on Saturday night on a new player for you, i hope you like him"

every player will either be recommended by the manager, or recommended to the manager

then thoroughly discussed, before any decisions are made, gio will be fully involved absolutely, , or he wouldn’t be here.

The new signings have been great. You must be joking. Davies looks another injury prone signing, yilmaz not physical enough, Tillman a luxury player who will be ok in SPFL but lacks the work rate required for Europe (he is the whipping boy of Ibrox now. The treatment dished out in the club deck on Tuesday was out of order), Colak has been great in SPFL but the manager would rather play an overweight off form striker in Europe), Matondo looks like a poor man’s Sakala and Lawerence was looking good until he got injured. Oh and souttar. Forgot about him. Good player when he is fit but like Davies he won’t play the 50 plus games required for a rangers centre half. Recruitment has been awful. We went into the CL with one fit centre half and one fit striker. The squad isn’t fit for purpose.

davies and lawrence are good signings, matondo is not

soutter may be if he can stay fit

tillman is lazy, il say it again

clubs like bayern donot let the real deal walk away to scotland, simple as that.

Sorry my opinion.

Sorry I didn’t mean Gio turns up at Murray Park to find players he’s never heard of, I wonder how far up the list some were, we needed players who were ready to hit the ground running not three or four months into the season so I just wondered if it was the cheaper option, now we are at this stage I like Davies I like Sands played in midfield Colak has done his job Yilmaz I really like the look of but he needs a run in the team before being judged Tillman is getting there with each game Lawerence looks as if he can be a good player once fit Matondo jury is out on that one but has had very little game time, we need to get to the WC break without dropping points and get some players back and see where we are.

Hi Mols I really hope so. Hopefully they all get fit and we can see what they can do. I just feel that all 3 are great with ball however they lack in the physicality required. No need to be sorry as I see where you are coming from and fingers crossed it’s you and not me that’s got it right.
