Im English but been living in Glasgow for over 10years and want to ask Were does all this anti English thing in football come from?
for me it stinks of bitter jealousy or something as scots make it seem like a big rivalry which maybe years ago iw was? but nowadays down south its most definitely not and all English they don't even acknowledge what Scotland are doing
Its like saltford city trying to make banter and a rivalry with Manchester United or something To an English person it just comes across absolutely pathetic.

Deano. For me it's simple, England are my country Scotland's sporting rivals. Like a celtic fan asking me to support celtic if we get knocked out of a cup. Ridiculous to expect a Scottish supporter to support England.

Only bad thing about England at the world cup is that I can only watch them get knocked out once. Lol.

Deanobear, it’s because England think they are far superior and the fans bang in all the time about how great they are and how poor Scotland are and when we don’t make the finals they give it large. So for the big time Charlie’s to get jumped it’s great to see.

Whether the decisions were right or wrong, England couldn't score from open play, France did twice. You can't rely on penalties to win these games, and it seemed to me England's only form of attack was the long diagonal punt from maguire.

Deano, I'm proud to be British but sporting rivalries don't go away. For what's it's worth I didn't shed any tears when Wales got put out either. England are good, improving team and becoming a bit more of a feared opponent like Belgium. Guys like Bellingham, Saka and Foden will take England to semis and finals in the next few years.

I'm not English but that was a clear foul on Kane and should have been a penalty, France's first goal shouldn't have counted as it was a foul on Saka, thought the ref had a stinker, we certainly won't see him again at this world cup.
