This could be Beale’s last game in charge so it must be strongest eleven. There is no room to give youth a chance anymore, or take chances. The pressure could not be higher, every game is a must win, treat them all like a cup final.

The League Cup should always be an opportunity for Rangers to rest some players and a chance to utilise the squad and youth players.
Unfortunately for Beale, due to the predicament he finds himself in - not all his own doing - he isn’t afforded that opportunity and must play his strongest, most experienced for a crucial Cup tie.

I actually think Beale65 team pretty close or bang on our manager did mention some of those players were held back for the cup game he obviously knows how important the cup is to his job.
