The daily record now reporting that a top saudi journalist claims that clement is now very close to agreeing to be the new manager of a saudi club ? Very interesting ? and time will tell ?.

I wonder if CoplandFront5 is hearing anything different now regarding the possibility of kevin muscat getting the nod over philipe clement to be the new rangers manager ? His info is usually top notch and he did state clement was getting the rangers job.

Coops I can see why they all go there as money talks but to me it's a real lack of ambition player or manager going there. They are not short of money.

If, and I stress If, this is true, then do we really want a manager more driven by money, and happy to play football in empty stadiums?
Money talks, and if a Saudi team is involved, then the money on offer to anyone is going to dwarf what we can pay.
Did I not read on here that he's not our number one target anyway?

If he does, it will be to setup his family and beyond for a lifetime (who can blame him)
However, if he was (as reported) using us as a stepping stone to the EPL, he won't get that in Saudi, imo!
Too many on here quoting sources saying it's a done deal, a wee bit off yet ì would suggest.

It's possible that Clemont is using Rangers to get a better deal, i did hear that muscat is the favourite and can start now not December.

It’s all smoke and mirrors just now. Saudi reporter v Belgian reporter biggin’ Clement and what he “wants” to do - no one really knows the decision he and the club make until it’s official. The positive is he is a wanted manager so must be decent. Muscat is not a bad second choice tbh but there will be concerns - no potential manager is without flaws or risks, let’s hope the panel have taken that on board. We need a good manager for the next 3-5 years with a solid business model.

I doubt very much Clement would have used us for a better deals, Saudi clubs already offer very attractive salaries.

As I said in another post it's totally futile to guess, always wait until the Club announces something, it won't affect any of us to just wait, and to trust our Board to do the right thing by the Club, of which we're a huge part.

Saudi cash is mental imagine us trying to sign Defoe now the Saudis would just offer him 3/ 400k a week. There is a few ex epl players I’ve thought they would be good at rangers for a season or 2 next minute Saudi team interested they are on double/ treble what they got at the prem and there career is coming to a end madness. Look at what jack Hendry is on £15 million a season his agent must of been looking for the . In between the 1and the 5 ?.
