Ally McCoist is a self deluded arrogant little man who is slowly but surely destroying his legendary status at Ibrox by not admitting he just doesn't cut it as a manager, not only is he tactically naive, he's arrogant enough to blame the players for saturdays defeat. the very same players who Ally has taken to the club given lucrative contracts to, half decent players before they came (but somehow Allys superb coaching skills have made them mediocre at the best) reality check Ally its your fault these players are at ibrox in the first place.

why don't you do the decent thing like Stuart Mcoll done resign at least he new he could do no more with Motherwell but then again you have at least 800 000 reasons not to walk don't you? there comes a time in your life Ally when you have to ask yourself home much money is enough money and I think you have enough money.

Put him on his 1yr notice right now. If we'd done it a year ago, we'd be shot of him now.

2.) 24 Nov 2014
@1 It doesn't work like that pal, every day his yearly contract starts again.
If we want to sack him he gets a years salary, all part of Greens plan to spend as much money as soon as possible.

3.) 24 Nov 2014
That can't be right gkk, a perpetual contract like that would be unenforceable under UK law, it makes him unsackable. A rolling contract just means that the end date of the current term moves with every day. The termination clause is different.

The terms of his contract will more likely be that he has a 1yr notice period for termination or the year's money owed if he goes earlier.

So, since we can't afford to pay him for sitting about with his arms folded. put him on his 1yr notice, and at least every week when he's sitting about with his arms folded, we'll be 1 week closer to scraping him off.

Expat: I done a bit of reading about this last night, I don't know exact details of his deal, but from what I read seems if we give him a years notice it is the same as asking him to leave now, and he is still entitled to his years money.
I said Green gave him the contract, think it was D+P my mistake.

5.) 24 Nov 2014
I'm getting auld, had to look it up.
McCoist is on same deal Bain gave him in 2011.

6.) 24 Nov 2014
You're right, either way we have to pay him, but if you go down the 1yr notice, you don't have to pay him all in a lump sum - just the regular instalments he's getting anyway as his remuneration

The difference would be. give him notice, he has to work out his year, so at least we get something for the money.

As someone else pointed out, he might feel so affronted by that (and the "Pieman Walk Away" banners he'd agree to do a deal to go early.

Lochaberbear. can't disagree with anything you've said. only problem I've got with your post is its the same post from September, August, June, may, April, February. have I missed a month?💤💤💤

@6 : Whatever way he has it mate, I wish they'd just chase him and take our chances at a tribunal in 2 years or so.
Who knows were we could be then?

just shows you i'm consistent mate I don't chop and change at every result unlike some Ally showed his managerial and coaching skills before we got into all this 5hit we he let Lennon overturn a substantial lead and that's with a half decent team like naismith davis aluko etc I said then he wasnt up to it and I have seen nothing since to make me change my mind

Totally agree the writing was on the wall before admin. however after liquidation he had the chance to stamp his mark and begin a legacy where good young players would get a chance to prove that they were worthy of being at a club like Rangers. but oh naw he signs God knows how many duds and dumplings to preserve his status. what annoys me the most is he thinks he has done a good job. I would respect him more if he held his hands up and says I'm not up to the job. however he plods on milking the club for a wage which in my eyes is outrageous. I've even heard he has says he would resign as long as he gets his million quid. absolute parasite!

11.) 24 Nov 2014
Don't forget mccoist is
Probably owed
A
Big sum of money, from the defered wage cut he took.

12.) 24 Nov 2014
Bigcol: I could believe the last part easily, I agree with the rest also, but I could see him saying that if the rest of the got their pay off then I want mine. I am not calling him by any means (well not yet anyway lol) but I still think he'll chuck it if we lose 1 of next 2 games.

13.) 24 Nov 2014
What million quid would that be bigcol? He doesn't make a million a year so where's that figure coming from? And who was your source? Did you make that up yourself fulla the booze?

14.) 24 Nov 2014
The problem is macoist never actually took a pay cut he took defferment so if he was sacked he would need to be paid back all the defferment but if I was in charge I would take the chance and give him the bullet and tie him up in legal red tape for a while and then come to deall which is paid up in stages which is the norm today s I have said simples he must go

15.) 25 Nov 2014
Ferguson I've heard that from a few reliable sources that they have asked him to resign. that figure comes from the deferment he took. remember it wasn't a renegioted contract it was a deferment. at the end of the day who friggin cares. he is holding my club to ransom because he knows they haven't got 800,000 to sack him. and to answer your question I have been known to take a wee tipple during the week but I am completely sober. 😘
