I have been advised we have held talks he would be interested but nothing has followed up yet with RW, beale has advised 2 or 3 should be in this month and hoping to have one in by aberdeen game if this is correct we would have to contact Norwich and agree a deal for him to sign now if we go ahead, if pre contact i would be delighted also but can't wait to see if we can get quality in this month and who it is. only time will tell.

Norwich said they haven’t been approached and the lad himself is in Spain. So I doubt anything is happening at the moment. Even if he does sign a precontract there’s no guarantee of him coming during this window. We may wait until the summer and get guys like Jack, Arfield, and Davis, off the books first. The Rangers squad is currently bloated with over 30 players so we need to move guys on.

One Walter and VA there is no need to make an approach to Norwich he is allowed to talk to any club outside of England as his contract is up in the summer.

John i think gvb was referring to other people's information that he was getting signed now and that he was the one beale was talking about signing this week and may be in before the aberdeen game there was many peole on here with information that he would sign and join us this month in which I understand why gvb is asking if anyone is aware of the fee. I do see a lot of peole now saying pre contract as buying him now seems a while away yet if it happens.

Beale told supporters we should be excited with the new signings so I would have thought he must know who they are and be very confident of them signing otherwise how could he be sure they are exciting?

My information is should Cantwell come it will be a pre contract. Norwich have just turned down more money than we would offer. As we are looking at a pre contract we don't need to contact Norwich, would only be professional courtesy, and no fee would be involved as he is 24.

I think everyone is aware Bellshill that if pre contract no need for contact with norwich I think the confusion was peolle advising he's signing this month but I got same info if he signs it will be pre season contract and wouldn't be one of 2 or 3 players we want in this month.
