We have enough cover at centre backs. It’s 2 full backs we need that can actually defend. Tav and Barisic are absolutely horrific at defending and leave our centre backs exposed the majority of the time. Since we one 55 this has been a problematic area for us and needs looked at ??????.

Gazgers321 agree. Dunno what the lad Sterling has to do to get a game? I actually like both Tav and Borna going forward. They offer us plenty in attacking areas, but not in our current setup/ formation. Far too many spaces left at the back. For me they are proper wing backs, not full backs.

We have plenty of cover at full backs, In fact we literally have Sterling, Yilmaz, Balogun, Davies and King who can all play full back crazy that is.

Our fullbacks are told to do a job that yes leaves us exposed at the back shock who would have guessed when you tell your fullbacks to get forward you sometimes get punished.

We are fine in Fullback position always have been can we all move into modern football please.

We need 2 full backs that can defend. Tav has never been strong at it and Borna is absolutely woeful. When teams have set pieces against us whether it’s a corner or free kick they exploit this area as it’s our weakness. Positional play by the 2 of them is absolutely horrendous. They done their job in winning 55 but the past few years they haven’t been up to our clubs standard.

Wow the criticism of Tav in particular on here and in the stands as well as Borna is mind boggling. We will never appreciate either player until they are no longer here. Yet again the Captain steps forward at the time we needed it, only for that to be undone 90 seconds later as our centre halves go to sleep and don’t mark their greatest heading threat from a free kick. I’m not saying either borna or tav are the best defensive full backs but in the market we shop we will not find better once they leave.

Another example this evening of shocking defending. Those on here who think our full backs are good enough need a good shake. Both Barasic and Tavernier were woeful again. We've learned nothing from lasts years Champions League humiliation and added another this evening. Jack Butland kept it from being 8or9! Get some proper defenders in asap.

We had 7 around De Jong last night at the goal, none could even give him a wee nudge never mind challenge, then for some reason Lammers marking him . the biggest danger to the defence on cross balls . Then the coach decided Jack should replace Matondo when we were already battered, shambles .
