Le Guen would have been a massive success if it wasn’t for the utter dross he brought to the club. The likes of Sebo, Karlson, the Czech winger and papac.

The actual brand of football was the best I’ve seen at Ibrox under any manager. We just couldn’t score with Sebo and then keep them out with Karlson.

Maybe there will be similarities with the new manager given the current playing squad but we will need to give him probably 2 windows to fix things.

Was Karl Svenson and Libor Sionko. Brought in our previous Clement too, Jeremy, who was a decent player. I had the misfortune of seeing LeGuens PSG play the season after he left Rangers and they were awful then his career went downhill so I think he was always a dud.

Walter converted broadfoot and papac into fullbacks to make the back 4 solid defensively before anything. i'd take that before attacking fullbacks right now.

I was very excited about le guen coming in. I remember having about 20 of the young team in my bedroom as a teenager when France beat Brazil at the world cup in 06 singing Paul le guens blue and white army. I thought sionko wasn't too bad tbf Clement too obvs big sasa turned out great but le guen had no clue how to run a club like rangers with this fish bowl city and the need to win every game. A convo with Barry to explain all this to him might have helped same with ricksen might have helped Paul understand a bit more about life at rangers. I hope whoever comes in (especially Clement) gets to understand all this before it's too late and doenst come thinking he's getting it easy because it's far from easy my boy.

I liked J. Clement and Sionko, Papac is an icon. Le Guen just bit off more than he could chew, was devastated it didn't work out as it was so exciting.

And beadle about not like Clement can make transfers happen outside window free market only option and doubt he will tie his hands with a free when January window not far away.

He majorly underestimated the standard of players required to win this league when you really need to win every match. Clemente will need to learn this quick as well because that’s not the case in Belgium. You probably only need a win rate of 60% over there to win the league. That’s not the case over here.

A d to be fair to Karl svensson he was a midfielder that was converted to CB and never took to it at all but leguen kept persisting and could havewrecked boys career.
