Been told by a close friend that we are unlikely to see much movement incomings wise if any now. as a few of our targets have not materialised or been priced out of in this window and PC unlikely to sanction purchases and loans of 4th or 5th choice targets and will opt instead to promote various youth players and re asses the squad in the summer.

Few outgoings expected to trim the squad. One or two may come in on loan to buys if 1st team starters are sold. Very underwhelmed and deflated if this is true. Feels like we are handing them the league again and not backing another manager when they need it.

Nope this is a smart move. normally I’d agree with you but it’s a euros year lots of good players will want game time that they can’t get at their clubs.

And looking at youth first always makes sense.

Unfortunately I feel the cash spent by Beale and his sacking, is the only cash we will spend this season. We have managed to bring in one loan player, let's hope we can bring in another 1 or 2. With our current routinely injured squad, feel we are doomed to fall short yet again for the title this season?

Todd the prod can you expalin which manager has not been backed? They have all spent over 10 mill each season since SG. We have the highest wage bill in scotland. We also still have directors loans to still pay back.

Paul86 you got to say gio he earned most of the money we had helped develope bassey and go us to champions league for what gio lost compared to what he was allowed to bring in.

Also if you believe some of the rumours gio had quite a few targets and club got none of them.

Still don’t think it’s a coincidence we now signed 3 former Dutch league and looking at another two.

Sir Walter. It might well b frantic but that doesn't mean anything gets delivered. I'm sure everyone is working their knackers off in the background but given our financial constraints (including the size of the squad) there's not much headroom for deals. We let Beale loose with the credit card. Now we have to pay for that.

There is being backed and there is being backed. In the close season after we won the league I do not believe that Gerrard was backed. He asked for certain players, (reputedly), he didn't get them and we then signed drastically inferior players and we lost the league.

We should have strengthened when we were on top. We didn't. The Regime that was in charge at the time, Chairman, CEO and DoF have now gone. They are also the ones that to all intent did back Beale, (albeit that there were significant outgoings to compensate), and they appear to have got that wrong as well.
Thankfully they have now gone!
Let's give it time to see what sort of support is provided for Clement and what quality of player is recruited.
