If were no buying Shanks this window then we must have a top notch strker lined up if no then itl be Clemonts worst mistake as rangers manager any1 agree.

He’s a good player but at 29 I don’t think so, time to buy him was when he was knocking them in for Ayr.

Shanks gets goals now and he does that consistently every week. This is something we have been missing for a long time. Sometimes its not about the sell on or money we can make. We need a proven goal scorer not another project. Rangers have no problem creating chances it's putting them away that's the difference between being no1 or no2 in the league. We would get 5 years out of shankland. The league is the priority and the reward of the champions league money should not be missed and passed once again to celtic.

Getting the striker position sorted could very well be the difference between winning the league and not winning it.
Shankland makes sense although it would come down to finance.

Kevin Denkey from Belgium would be excellent but he is bound to be outside our price range.

Selling Ridvan, Wright, Davies, Hagi etc would help with this but we need teams to want these players.

I like the look of the left back Smal from Holland as a replacement for Ridvan or Borna.

I certainly trust big Phil to get this right.
It’s just a shame he won’t have the budget that Beale had - Lammers, Danilo and Dessers have really been a let down.

I honestly don’t think shanks will be at rangers in January and I get why people want him but we have missed out in bigger and better players than him in the history of our great club. It’s different playing for hearts utd the sheep than it is for rangers no one knows 100% if he can handle it. Shanks would not guarantee us the league this season either.

I agree storm, that signing shankland wouldn't guarantee us the league but for me no signing we make would guarantee us the league ? What i will say on the plus side if we can sign shanks, is imo we'd have a better chance of winning the league with him as our striker ? Only my opinion ?.

Maybe Clement is looking at the bigger picture and doesn’t actually fancy Shankland for how he wants to play going forward?

I agree with that coops it’s just too many people thinking he is the 2nd coming of pele. They think he will show up and Celtic fall apart and we will win the league ? think people forgetting It’s a team game.

Not sure about Shankland, but hopefully he would be better than what we've got.
