Regarding Shankland, the contract offered is 5k extra a week so i am told which is hardly lucrative ?

Also been told shanks is not interested in renewing with hearts as there is genuine interest in him from Rangers for this window. If he signs a new contract with hearts he knows his chance to go to Rangers.

I wish someone would give me 5k a week extra.

2.) 20 Jan 2024 14:55:54
5k a week extra isn’t lucrative ??‍♂️.

3.) 20 Jan 2024 14:59:00
If it’s an extra 5k a week that’s pretty decent from hearts rumours is he’s in 3.5k just now so that like an extra 150% a week…

But he’s still ear for at rangers where he would easily be in 12/ 15 k a week….

4.) 20 Jan 2024 15:19:25
For the money hearts want, could get better elsewhere. Crazy paying that for him. The league this year is a must.

5.) 20 Jan 2024 15:27:36
He is on 3k a week the now.

6.) 20 Jan 2024 16:07:39
We tried elsewhere came up with dessers, lammers, why no just try the Scottish guy who's scoring for fun in Scotland.

7.) 20 Jan 2024 16:11:15
At least the Doig nonsense will now stop for a few years.

8.) 20 Jan 2024 16:21:05
Scores and assists goals in a team that create much less chances than us. It’s a no brainer to sign him. No bedding in period needed. No getting used to the league. Tried and tested. At the peak of his powers right now. Not a project signing. A come in and now and do the business signing. Got to happen for me.

9.) 20 Jan 2024 16:44:37
I see Ryan hardie has scored 2 today and a assist would he be a option.

10.) 20 Jan 2024 16:56:03
BD a because the manager obviously doesn’t want him.

11.) 20 Jan 2024 16:59:54
I think poster talking in regards to what he could earn going to England or rangers.

12.) 20 Jan 2024 19:37:53
Greg he has had a decent return every club he has played at I’m sure he scored like 7 in 17 in the spl when we loaned him out decent return this season decent amount of pace on the boy as well if we could get him for under £2million I think he offers something different the other strikers don’t.

13.) 20 Jan 2024 22:10:15
shanks ain't coming, Can't believe posters are still runnin with this tripe.

14.) 20 Jan 2024 22:11:35
Im going to make a prediction here and people can feel free to call me out if i'm wrong. Lawrence Shankland will either stay at hearts or move down South in this window and rangers will sign a striker (most likely on loan) that wasn't on anyone's radar.

Ive seen this movie before, rangers aren't interested in Shankland and are using him as a red herring for the media to drum up so that we can pursue our real targets. let's just hope we don't make another past it, underwhelming premier league loan signing.

Exactly MPH, mental strength and discipline is required and the team needs to answer these question's and prove there critics wrong?.

1.) 17 Apr 2024 19:03:48
There must be a clause in silva's contract that we've got to play him before matondo.

17 Apr 2024 16:54:27
I personally will see what's what after the dundee game and then make a better judgement for myself in terms of where we are mentally for this run in ?.

Good on you, but if you can't see where we are after our recent results, I doubt you ever will.

Tonight we will see if we have the mettle for a title challenge. Tonight and every game is now a must win and if that happens doesn't matter what celtic do we win the league. All the drama aside, what ifs, what aboutery, pundits spouting negativity. The potential title is in OUR hands no one else's even after a defeat to Ross county.

It will be a difficult task and that's the way it's meant to be but it's not an IMPOSSIBLE one.

We as we all now know can't afford.

Clement would have had a game plan, freak goal so early shot all confidence and we never recovered for the full of the first half of which i was thinking we need to keep this score respectable 2nd half. For me, the 3 points were gone, and we were done.

Defence was shot and only butland, and only just got pass marks for the 1st half. Even butland who is usually confident, was rocked.

2nd half we turned up and to come from 2 goals behind in a game where we were absolutely nowhere shouldn't be dismissed. Had the dessers goal been allowed, WE WOULD have gone on to win the game as momentum was with us. We then quickly lose a goal. They go 3-2 but again we come back and hit an equaliser.

Did I want 3 points before the game of course, would I have taken a point at half time you better believe it, am I happy with a point at the end of the game - 100%. We could have been sitting behind Celtic on points had we lost at Ibrox and if we still won at Dundee. The fact is we go 2 clear at the summit if we beat Dundee on Wednesday and if things stay the same with the swing each way until Parkhead, I will be more confident of getting a point at Parkhead rather than have to win to get all 3 and in saying that no one not one of us thought we would have beaten Betis but we did, we also took 2 off Benfica away and both these teams are far better than Celtic.

The leagues in OUR hands 1 game at a time and hopefully pans out. We only need a draw at Parkhead, but they will have games tough games to deal with also, so let them worry about their games and we get behind the team when we are doing our business.

Glimpses of sima and matondo on Sunday show us what we have been missing. The 2 of them aren't fully fit yet but changed the game for us. Celtic couldn't cope with either of them at the weekend.

The only 2 players I wouldn't trust or put in a lineup are Wright or Barasic. The rest I trust, just as I trust clement and his judgements.

Very well written and balanced summary Stillabluenose, personally think the title is ours to lose as you say, let them worry about there games, we win ours, 56 is here.

2.) 08 Apr 2024 22:41:10
Well summed up Stillabluenose,
Only thing I’d add is to say let’s take 1 game at a time and judge based on the points when Celt Park arrives whether we need to win or a draw is sufficient.

3.) 08 Apr 2024 22:43:07
Good read still a blue can definitely get a point fhere but yesterday taken all things into account it was a good point - a loss would have been hard to recover from - boys did well 2nd half - just need Ito win the other games now - one game at a a time ??????.

4.) 09 Apr 2024 06:33:25
All good points, only fly in the ointment might be the number away games we have to play after the split, especially if hibs manage to get there.
Although maybe not in front of 49000 bears, it might suit a couple?

5.) 09 Apr 2024 07:16:03
Well put mate after that 1st half feared the worst. Feels like we got away with one.

The eve of the battle is now upon us, nerves, anxiety, jitters, butterflies, countless scenarios played out in our heads, a win a draw a defeat these thoughts won't stop until the final whistle is blown tomorrow. Its just part of being a Rangers fan and something we have to live with.

Tomorrow's game is massive and what will be will be. Its a must that the generals in our team stand up and be counted we must stamp our authority all over the pitch and take our chances created.

We FEAR NO FOE, this is our backyard, we have slayed bigger teams than celtic at ibrox and celtics scalp tomorrow will just be another name added to that list.

Everything from everyone until the last whistle let's go, c'mon the Rangers.

I fear the weather forecast. 51 mph winds. Could be postponed and certainly a leveler.

Shanks gets goals now and he does that consistently every week. This is something we have been missing for a long time. Sometimes its not about the sell on or money we can make. We need a proven goal scorer not another project. Rangers have no problem creating chances it's putting them away that's the difference between being no1 or no2 in the league. We would get 5 years out of shankland. The league is the priority and the reward of the champions league money should not be missed and passed once again to celtic.

Beale is tactically inept. This current Rangers team has no style of play, no character, no chemistry and sadly no leaders on the park and its killing us every game. Teams miles off it bar Jack butland, we are playing like a team that has no confidence and no real game plan from week to week. Confidence comes from the manager he instills that into the team. Michael Beale couldn't change a light bulb without making an arse of it. Now we're in a place at the moment where things do not look positive and fans issues with Beale being appointed are being answered. I believe the board should act accordingly for where we are at as a club as the outlook is not positive. Rangers had a great chance today to make a statement on intent instead our weaknesses and chronic failures all over the park were clear to see they are shouting out at everyone connected with the club and that includes the board. Personally don't think the board will act hastily but they should be looking at future options of who can take this team which has talent and develop them into winners.
