I really hope Allan Mcgreggor chooses to hang up the gloves rather than stay on. He's been phenomenal for us and especially in Europa last season. However, I feel his age is playing a part now and possibly affecting his confidence ie cross balls and sweeping? I thought Butland would have been a good shout, any thoughts.

he has never been a cross ball keeper and it’s the strength in his arthritic hands and wrists that he has issues coming out to punch with, i’m told he has had a deal on the table for a while now but nobody has made any decisions, holiday comes first, personally i would have greegs there but as number 2, even 3 if he was coaching, and watching mclaughlin with the ball at his feet against celtic also gave me chills, so a new keeper for me.

McGregor returned from Dubai at the weekend.

I’d be happy with greegs as no3 mcglauchlan deserves his chance but with a proper no1 brought into battle it out against.

There hasn't been a better shot stopper at Rangers than McGregor for a number of years and while he isn'y a keeper that comes for crosses the number of goals that he has stopped by his exceptional ability to save even the most difficult of shots has been incredible. I am not a fan of McLaughlin, yes he comes out well for crosses however I agree that he doesn't look comfortable with the ball at his feet and he doesn't fill me with confidence as being close to McGregor when it comes to being a shot stopper. Historically we always had a quality keeper that you could count on to be worth eight of ten points a season. It is worrying that we don't appear to have that once McGregor retires.

If McGregor gets a new deal of any kind, it is the club going backwards, never mind standing still.
McLaughlin deserves a chance.

Let’s not write off Mccrorie.

McGregor was 'phenominal' for us in Europe last season but I hope he retires?

Yes, phenomenal in Europa, however not as phenomenal in the league. He made too many unforced errors leading to goals throughout the season for me unfortunately. I reckon that will only increase if is still no 1.
