If Bassey and Roofe leave along with Balogun and Aribo we are miles short of winning the league imo.

Why?
Only 2 out of the 4 you mentioned were regular starters.
The other 2 were squad players and injury prone.
You would like to think Lowry and Lawrence can cover for Aribo.
And if Bassey does go I'd expect us to sign another CH or LB.
We've played a 45 minute friendly and you've already given up! That must be a record on here.

Negative or not from me, the results of our first two games in the SPFL this season will give me an indication of our chances.

At the moment my feelings are not unlike yours.

I think we would a new LB and a new CH if Bassey leaves. Souttar could be great but I’m sure we all have our concerns over his injury record and Barasic doesn’t give the same energy that Bassey brings which was a real asset last year.

Roofe a great player but injured a lot and if he goes I suspect we will bring in another striker.

Balogun I liked but I think Souttar is an upgrade and if we bring in another CB we will have strengthened here for me.

And finally Aribo is a loss but I think Lawrence could actually deliver better numbers.

I believe those players will be replaced and we will be in a good place in a few weeks time.

If we get 25m for Bassey we will have a far stronger squad going forward, and stronger squad than last season, lost Aribo and signed 4 international players, lose Bassey and replacement will be lined up, don't want too lose Bassey but feel it will make the team stronger in a few positions, sign a cb lb am and another good striker we will be okay.

Not at all DK19 I just don't think this side is anywhere near good enough to win the league and the new signings don't look as good as the players they have replaced. Barasic and Soutter won't play enough games due to injury and if Bassey goes the cover in defence looks very poor. Davis, McGregor and Arfield are to old now to make a huge difference and we just look poorer than the side that finished 2nd last season.

I'm so far very happy with our transfer business and now we're very close to confirming Tillman, all be it on a loan deal but hopefully a chance to buy at the end of the season ?I think we may sell bassey so a few more signings expected ?

Don't see it as a big concern really. Transfers don't happen overnight and I'm quite sure we have probably anticipated bids coming in for players and have multiple plans for replacements - if we get anywhere near the money mentioned for Bassey we are in a great position to spend but also to attract players with the hope of eventually moving to the Premiership.

Think how good bassey was getting game after game last year he is only gona be better this year I would absolutely love to keep him for at least another year. Love his hunger desire physical power and always plays with a smile. Nowhere near finished article so can you imagine how good he is going to be. I get he could get injured etc etc but we need the best players possible on the park and that's exactly what he is imo.
