As we all realise now, it's looking nailed on that rangers will be selling calvin bassey to god knows which club, as there's that many clubs now vying for his signature ? The fee i would expect to at least equal and in all probability better the scottish record fee, that celtic hold with the sale of their left back kieran tierney to arsenal, for a fee of £25million, a couple of years ago ? Let me first say i personally think kieran tierney is a superb left back with some injury issues!
As much as i rate tierney, i truly think that calvin bassey will go on to be even better than tierney and have reasons for believing that ?
I think bassey is stronger, fitter and faster than tierney and is very rarely injured, so more dependable also ?If bassey brushes up on his crossing and heading ability, he could play for any of the big clubs in the best leagues in europe ?So fellow bears who agrees or disagrees with my post that bassey will go on to be a better player than kieran tierney ?I throw this question out there ?.

Time will tell @walter

I think Bassey’s best position is left of a back 3, the fact that nobody can say for 100% what his best position is tells u everything u need to know

We need 2 players to replace him, Celtic needed 1

For Bassey will develop into a far more rounded player than Tierney and I feel he will develop into a world class left sided CB.

Morning Coops, I can't disagree with any of that. I think it's a very fair assessment.

Yeah agree with that Coops. Think he has been at tierney a level for the last 3-4 months. Question is can he keep it going and continue to improve. I do believe he will end up at one of europes big 10 teams, if not this time around then certainly the next.

Not when Arsenal signed him @walter.

100% agree sir Walter. Was having a little chuckle to myself last couple of weeks, thinking none of these mugs have tipoed how good our big Shirley is we can keep him for a year. Just goes to show we never really know what's going on behind the scenes do we, as I'm sure a lot more clubs have been sniffing around that we will never know about. I think we will really struggle to replace him if he goes.
