Someone posted earlier about Lowry going on loan, i have said it many times he needs first team football NOW, he is 20 year old now and has played about half a dozen games at first team level, he is a very highly talented lad but surely he has the right people about him knowing he needs played, i honestly feel our manager will be telling him this, hopefully he does go on loan because he will struggle for games with us just now, many young talented players have hang around there club until about 22/ 23 and never played much and plenty has ruined there very promising careers in the game, even a loan until January, i know we need him for our European squad but he should be thinking about him at the present time because i am.

I agree, he needs played and he won’t get a sniff with all the signings we have made. It’s unfair on him to be expected to stay only for Euro quotas.

I can see your side of argument John but for the players development he needs to play and at as high a level as possible. I can’t see him getting many minutes with the signings we have made so far.

There comes a time when unfortunately we need to stop talking about potential in a young player like Lowry at 20 years old.
And he himself needs to grab any chance with both hands.
I know he had injuries and personal issues last season but this could be a huge year for him in terms of where his career goes.
Sometimes ability just isn’t enough. Especially at a club like Rangers where you have to fight for your right just to be a squad player never mind a first team regular.

John are you not a fan of Lowry? Seems to me he has natural ability. He has had a couple of set backs but at 20 should have been forcing his way in. I got impression mick Beale wanted more from him, just going by Beale comments something not quite right?

Not a chance Lowry will be championship player in 3 years! He would walk into just about any team in the SPL except probably the top two. Imo of course ?.

RFC we gave him big pay rise to get him to sign new deal and ward off Newcastle.

Christ we were paying Kennedy 5k, Mayo nearly 4K.

Dont think Alex will worry too much about the signings that have come in, he`s a very confident young player and so he should be.

Young Lowry is a tremendous talent. Want him to stay and offer competition for place in 1st team squad. Would expect him to get game time in 20 plus matches this season. Totally disagree with John that will be playing in Scottish Championship in 3 seasons.

Re Lowery any time I have seen him play for b team he seems to want to do it all himself pass is in on doesn't do it. Only my opinion but maybe his ship has already sailed. Would like to think not though.

We don't need him for back up though? We have plenty. And he's under 21 so wouldn't be registered for Europe.

He needs regular gametime. Not 4 or 5 a season.

But of course, people believe Internet rumours that his attitude is off.

Yea tottie that was the problem last year . Hevwas over confident. This led to his detriment. MB muted as much . even hinting that his fellow players were feeling that.
Hopefully the lad learns a bit of humility and cracks on.

A would let mayo go for free to killie with a 30/ 40percent sell on and Kennedy no longer at the club so no worries there save 9k a year if lowrys on around 6k as well he needs to start getting the odd game or sell him on cheap with massive sell on clause look at what benfica are doing if they are not good enough move them on with 30/ 40 and even in some cases a 50percent sell on clause.

It depends how Beale views him, to hang about and pick up 10/ 15 mins here and there with a view to Europe or to really push the lad and give him a run of games where he starts and kicks on. IMHO u can only gauge if he’s going to kick on by giving him a run of 90 mins at a competitive level. I would be loaning him to a competitive team where he gets on the ball and at as high a level as possible. I think he has lots of attributes and could be pushing for a starting jersey but he doesn’t merit that at the minute and cash buys are always going to be given a run before him.
