I know criticising MB is off limits to some of the more delicate souls on here, but If John is correct (he usually is), and MB has decided Mclaughlin is back up to Butland, and not McCrorrie, then surely that needs questioned?! If true, that is a shocking decision?!
In what Universe is Mclaughlin the better option? FS, McCrorrie has played twice against the tims and showed no fear, while keeping 2 clean sheets, whereas, JM sh*t the bed and ended up one of the tims best players in the 4-0 drubbing. That pass?! He's dire and a coward!

Incoming imminent from the usual suspects, they never let you down! ??.

Weird choice on the face of things, only reason I can think is that McCrorrk was ie is moving on! Looks a far better keeper to me.

According to some we’ve to trust Beale in every decision he makes so unfortunately criticism of Beale is off limits.
Me? Nothing wrong with a bit of constructive criticism. It’s what fans do, rightly or wrongly at times.
And the goalkeeper situation is a conundrum for many of us.
But I suppose it all depends on how McCrorie himself sees the current set up. He might ( quite rightly at his age ) see his future elsewhere.

Big Ben mccrorie wants regular football as number 1 think he's 25 can see the boys point. It's mccrorie driving a move.

Does seem a strange decision Big Ben I agree.

Agree Big Ben
I love mb
I wanted him as manager was my 1st choice, apart fae pep. Don’t think he wanted to manage in Scotland for some reason lol
But yes mate it’s shocking we have mccrorie on that length of contract and willing to sell for a pittance.
Yet keep mcglaughlin as no2 when he’s proved he’s not upto job.
Also Ben Davies isn’t upto job but according to someone yesterday which I’ve no reason to disbelieve he’s not wanting anymore cb’s?
Both these decisions will come back to haunt us.
I’m afraid without a decent nimccrorie) or anothe
And a 1st choice cb, better than Goldson who is 1st choice
We’re going to regret both these decisions.

McLaughlin was probably MOTM when we qualified for the CL.

McCrorie doesn’t want to be back up, McLaughlin has no problem being one.

I understand what you are saying guys, and McCrorrie has indeed decoded to move on, but according to John in an earlier reply, the decision from MB to make JM backup, aided in McCrorrie's decision to move. That's the bit I can't get my head around, or accept.

JM should have been punted as soon as we could have got rid of him. He is a coward, and a p*#s poor goalkeeper.

Likely circumstance is McCrorie wants first team football after his performances at the end of the season, which we won’t give now Butland has joined. McCrorie has then voiced this to Beale and he wants to be moved on, we will get more of a fee from selling McCrorie than McLaughlin (albeit still relatively small one) and finances are going towards other crucial positions which is why McLaughlin stays as no.2.

McCrorie has asked to leave that’s why….

McLaughlin isn't good enough to be back up.

If Beale has said McLaughlin is 2nd choice why was mcrorie picked ahead of him last season in a few games. Can't see it being the case I think mcrorie will move on as he wants to be a first choice and rightly so as it's a short career.

Didn't hear that big ben that he was to be no3 thought it was because he wanted to be no1 and as soon as butland arrived he wanted to go as he wants to be no1. He's obviously also looking at being in the scotland team not happening if he's not getting the chance to prove himself.

McCrorie wants to leave. It's maybe as simple as that. McLaughlans bottle went IMO when he stepped up as number 1 last year but was always fine when stepping in for McGregor the odd time. Really don't see any controversy in this at all. I'm assuming a youngster will step up if MCcrorie leaves? Or buy in a someone to battle MCLaughlan as our number 2.

14.) 23 Jul 2023
23 Jul 2023 14:36:19
Agreed, Mark, he's not good enough as backup. Infact, he's not good enough to be anywhere near our club, period!

Get sone facts Ben before you slate the manager.
I bring one of the usual suspects can inform you also mcorrie wants first team football every week . do you think that’s on? If it’s not he wants away.

im one who has never felt mcrorie was a rangers number one, and i havnt changed my mind, we need a back up and shouldn't be difficult finding the proper guy if mcrorie leaves, even for a year or two, a senior keeper who has seen past glories at a big club is the best option for that role, akin to roy carrol, with niemmis ability would be great, but imo, mcrorie wouldn't have made the grade as number one here . imo.

Ben Calling a player coward because Celtic beat us is embarrassing but this group gets worse as time goes on. John had more clean sheets than shagger in the Europa league season in the league.

Just reading The Scotsman there and they have a story from just about 1-hour ago saying that negotiations are under way re Danilo. We are now willing to pay very close to the valuation.

By the way, Danilo lost his place in the Feyenoord team to Santiago Jiminez, who may himself be on his way to Tottenham if Kane leaves. Sounds like great news to me.

I look at things slightly differently nowadays and I reckon if he signs and is successful and we win the League and maybe get to the quarter-finals of the EL, or something like that, then we stand to make some serious money from transfers a year from now.
