He's bringing in 2 coaches with him, Matt Gills (not the ex GK) and a fitness coach, he "will look at what we have over the next few weeks and decided" if they need to add any, wouldn't mind McGregor staying as keeper coach but we need freshness throughout and a set piece coach.
I'd like him to add Kevin Thomson but wouldn't be against Barry coming back as a coach - don't see that happening though.

Maurice Ross has his pro coaching licence. Thomson has his A and B licences so both have the right badges. it is whether they are seen as being the club core coaches who would be there if any current manager was sacked.

No one really cares about assistant managers, it's always the main manager that makes the big managerial decisions and is credited with the big successes. We need a manager with experience of actually managing a club.
Don't ever remember football fans saying " Remember when we won the league that year and we absolutely annihilated everyone, how instrumental and amazing was the assistant manager that season ".

Seeing a lot of chatter on other platforms indicating that Gerrard is back and will be announced on Friday along with the Takeover being finalised. I think Gerrard had his bite at the cherry and as a club we need to be moving forward in a new direction, not backwards. Whoever the chosen man is, they'll get my full support. Hopefully the takeover is announced though. i'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

My only worry with likes of Rose or the likes is longevity. these are young hungry managers they won't want to be hanging around in Scotland for too long. Yes I get that we need someone to turn things around quickly but all being equal we need someone who's going to stay and see the job through not jump at the first chance of a 'bigger job'

J-zer my worry with any manager is they won't get the time to even reach that stage as the club and fans have no patience to allow them to finish the job. In the last 10 years we have had 6 managers, that is on average 20 months each so your issue isn't going to even be a consideration unless we get the appointment right and the board hold their nerve.

Davies has had a great season at Birmingham. Signed by Klopp at Liverpool. He isn't a bad player and would personally welcome him back alongside souttar. It's our right and left backs that need massively improved.

So going by the furore that has occurred after this mornings false press release, I eoild say someone has purposely sabotaged the club's Manager/ Head Coach recruitment process. RM was never a choice for me and I don't think he was in the running for most of our fans either. I just hope it doesn't have an adverse affect on the appointment going forward. If it were to be RM, then he's got a mountain to climb before a ball is even kicked. Surely the majority of fans reaction to today's false release will make the club think very carefully going forward. I still think the job has already been earmarked for Ancelotti, but once again the club is having to sort out the Ops Media department as the process is taking far too long.

Not sure what media outlet, but it doesn't say anything definitive. It allows KT to crack on. What I get is there will be £20M spent in the summer and this money will offset costs until monies are recouped from elsewhere. Naming rights perhaps or other sponsorship deals.

A return of Robin Pröpper to FC Twente has been in the pipeline for some time. The experienced defender can sign for three seasons at De Grolsch Veste. FC Twente has already reached an agreement in principle with Rangers. However, the new technical leadership of Rangers has not yet approved the deal. It is a waiting game for 'definitive answers'.
