Hi! Just registered to say that we should be nurturing the likes of Devine, King, Yfeko, Lyall, Rice, McKinnon, Lowry and Lovelace. I'd rather see us develop these guys over the next season than bring people in. We have a brilliant academy and these kids deserve a route to the first team and their chance.
I know some don't qualify as homegrown (yet) but isn't it trained in a country for three years before the can be considered to be homegrown?

Good luck to the boy, he's going to go on to great things. I predict by next summer he'll be playing in the English Championship.

davidb, are you saying that, if Butland got injured and was out for any decent period of time you would be happy or confident with McLaughlin stepping in?
Injuries happen as we know all too well. I'm not sure I'd he comfortable with him being our interim main GK.
