Bluedreamer shankland has 23 goals I the top flight of Scotland, 5 in Belgium and the rest of his goals are from the lower leagues, if he was free it would be worth it, at the price hearts would want for him it's not considering he's not better than the strikers we have rn.

Davies is a natural central midfielder, cantwell is more of a winger/ attacking midfielder.

Tomthumb 2 completely different scenarios boyd was around 23/ 24 when he originally joined us and had already scored 63 Scottish top flight goals in 5 seasons by that point, shankland is 27 and has only scored 23 scottish top flight (and 5 in belgium) during his whole career so far, most fans on here would have been delighted when we signed boyd, it was clear to see that he was a goalscorer with the amount of goals he got for killie, the same cannot be said for shankland as he hasn't done it at a high enough level for me.

Missed the boat with Shankland when he left Ayr, would have been an ideal squad player back then, hearts would want at least a couple million for him and I doubt we'd pay that for a 3rd/ 4th choice striker when we are in desperate need of a rebuild.
