It's such a shame if we lose our CL qualification round 2 then we are out off all Euro competitions. Considering we were Europa quarters! I said before the Conference League has killed Scottish chances of future CL qualification! To get the same coefficient points for all competitions is wrong in my opinion with the Old Firm struggling as our other Scottish teams produce no coefficient ?.

We aren't out we'd move into Europa qualifying, if we lost that we'd be in conference play off round and if we lost that then we'd be out of Europe. So we need to lose 3 qualifying rounds in a row to be out of europe.

Exactly Ayrshire. While it would be disappointing to be knocked out of champions league it isn't just a one and done. We still have qualifiers for Europa league and (hopefully not) conference league if we can't progress.

This season's (2024/ 25) Champions will enter the Playoff Round of the 2025/ 26 Champions League (not direct entry) and 2nd place will enter in the 2nd qualifying round (not 3rd) .
Losing this 2nd round means dropping to the Europa League 3rd qualifying round (not direct entry into the league phase) .

So:
2nd qualifying round loss in CL (league path) takes us to 3rd qualifying round in Europa (league path) .
if we win 2nd qualifier and lose in 3rd qualifier or play off round of CL then we go straight into Europa league stage
and if we lose 3rd qualifying round of Europa we go into play off round of conference league.

Hi Ed, yesterday on the live chat I indicated that I would prefer British Manager for the Gers and that was my opinion? My reasons for this was that I believe as a club we need understanding of the Scottish game would be a great help in my opinion. On the chat Asa called me out for being Xenophobic as I thought Marco Rose hadn't always been a success in his previous jobs.
To say I am Xenophobic is a ridiculous thing to say about myself and is not called for? I have been on this chat for over 12 years and that's certainly not what I'm about. Immediately on the chat you removed me from commenting for some reason after probably not reading my comments. If Marco Rose does get the job then I will support him 100% as will all Gers fans and some comments are not called for✌️✌️✌️??.
{Ed033's Note - On the Rangers live chat the text was going by quite quickly for me. It seemed to me at the time that you were 'triggering' Asathor with your messages on there. I think when you are 'triggering' someone with your points/opinion, you have to be the 'bigger man' and stop when you recognise it.
I removed you from the live chat to stop the 'triggering' if that was happening (which it may not of).
Yately003 is still on live chat. Calling you xenophobic seemed way over the top at the time and contributed to me thinking Asathor was being 'triggered'.

It may be my misunderstanding but it seemed to be the reasoning for saying these managers were not good enough were solely because they are foreign.
I am sorry if I offended you my friend and Edd 33 is completely right in saying I was triggered.
It was only a few months ago I was targeted and branded as the "foreigner who told his story" on this very site and it upsets me that people can only see the difference in nationality rather than the skills that people can bring.
Once more I apologise unreservedly and hope we can continue to have meaningful discussions in the future.

We, as Rangers supporters, should only want what's best for us, and if that is a British or European manager, or a manager from any other nation, then we will support them whatever.
The only fear on here is another failure of a manager, and whatever nationality said manager is, should never come into the equation.

Reading today the Scottish coefficient has dropped to 12th creating obvious problems with getting automatic places for the 3 uefa competitions. The biggest problem seems to be the introduction of the Conference 3rd tier for Rangers and Celtic, with you getting the same coefficient points in each competition. Our country Scotland has now been taking over by nations like Norway and Greece because of the Conference and the fact no other club in Scotland adds to our coefficient ✌️✌️.

I think Rangers have done most in recent years to improve Scotland's co-efficiency unlike Celtic, but you are right what you say mate, the other Scottish teams don't or can't make a difference. A bit worrying that Norway and Greece are ahead of Scotland in the rankings. Maybe this year will be our Europa League moment which would give a massive boost!
