I see we are in discussions with them over returning to previous levels (8000) of away fans for the OF games - be nice to get a bit more atmosphere ?.

Gutted if this turns out to be factual.

2.) 16 Jan 2024 19:38:33
Report says that we are in discussions about getting away fans into both grounds for the OF game but it is UNLIKELY they will return to the 8000 visiting fans of previous years . That backs up Bisgroves statement at the start of the season when he said exactly the same thing . If that's what the other mob are holding out for, tough, it will never happen.

3.) 16 Jan 2024 19:39:08
Are you sure it’s the 8000?

4.) 16 Jan 2024 19:47:33
Think it needs to be equal percentage. Considering there ground 10k more capacity. But yes full allocation would be great. Very least european 5%.

5.) 16 Jan 2024 20:24:20
Not great because if it’s the original agreement, that’ll mean I’m losing my seat again.

6.) 16 Jan 2024 20:29:32
Only if we get behind the goals not stuck in a corner.

7.) 16 Jan 2024 20:36:13
What I read it was 750 they are talking about again not 8000.

8.) 16 Jan 2024 23:01:29
The discussion today was re 750 for the two remaining games this season.

Great result last night been waiting for that for a while and things are looking up! ?

On another note thought the flares in the stands was stupid, dangerous and ultimately criminal - and hope action is take against the perps. I know it's not just us, but that was ridiculous.

Hope some sense gets beaten (metaphorically of course) into people ?.

Lol this is going to sound strange but my favourite bit from last night was lundstrum running sidewards in his own half then he tries to unleash a through ball direct to forward just slightly over hit it.

For me it sums up the difference in mentality under Clement to look for forward passes and be on the front foot.

Under previous couple managers lundstrum would have passed it to nearest free player or back to defense.

I must say I'm liking this new version of lundstrum been brilliant since Clement took over.

Plenty of time left in the Season so not worried yet. My thoughts are:

Failed to stop Mcgregor in first half.
It was a foul and goal should have been disallowed. Celtic bossed half.

Second half we got on Mcgregor better and had more of the game / had more chances.
Our finishing / final ball poor. Got cut open more and they lacked quality/ luck to finish us off. Cantwell not a penalty

Difference was Kyogo, again - also defensive error by Goldson.

Plenty of room and time to improve. ?.

Ayebrox - very fair and balanced assessment. I would disagree though. I thought the celtic player kicked the back of desser's leg.

2.) 03 Sep 2023 14:34:34
Mate how can you not be worried. The first happened because he didn’t put anybody on McGregor and we sat extremely deep and defended. The second more of the ball but struggled like we do against most teams that pack a defence. There is no tactics, no guile and to be honest positives to take forward.

3.) 03 Sep 2023 14:43:52
Not worried? What will it take to be worried.

I understand players need time to gel, it they also need to be comfortable with a system (and we appear a touch devoid there) . Sadly with cup, league and euro games coming thick and fast there is much to do and some of these players are already looking a little demoralized. We again appear determined to walk the ball into the net, and that ‘extra’ stylish pass is simply not there. Good sides tend to showboat when 3-0 up. Watch Man City play. Actually not that elaborate, it is simple pass, move ball into forwards swiftly (better players granted but tactically astute) .
What is ‘worrying’ most is that we cannot keep the ball out of the net, regardless of who we play. The defense as a whole has been poor. Today really Yilmaz should have been on at the start as a natural left back. Not a criticism of Sterling who I thought actually acquitted well (just out of position) . And this is the section of the team that has most familiarity and shouldn’t need ‘gel’ time. Poor Buckland must feel bemused right now, as he is playing well and doing nothing but picking balls out of the net.

I am desperately seeking light, but for now will settle for a coherent team selection, consistent style (the players can be happy and adjust to), and ugly wins, as it is wins we need.

Thanks Athole, I can understand why people think Dessers did not foul Lager - It doesn’t look like a foul until you understand the more obscure rules of the game.

Macnaughten - I’ll start worrying around new year if we haven’t improved - interesting point re: Sterling / Yilmaz though both did pretty well - maybe Beale thought Sterling would be better against Johnstone?

All Beale for me too negative a lineup to start intended to sit in and counter with matondo

Sorry but when you've spent the money Beale has and your relying on matondo who wasn't even in his squad last round the. You simply don't know what your doing.

I could have at least understood him coming off bench.

He is same as Gerrard refuses to change things even though everyone can see it's not working waits to 60/ 65 Min to make change instead of HT not going with jack a mistake for me can't remember last time lundstrum done good cover work or even won a tackle ?.

2.) 30 Aug 2023 21:24:37
Maybe not ?.

Agree Ted - nice to hear Sterling’s version of the Truth! So sick of ‘corporate diplomacy’!

Unlucky Start. Bit you’re right. Unless Silva gets an Oscar. He’s embarrassing. Hopefully we come out 2nd half.

From the evidence I saw it was the correct decision.

I did not see a still of the ball contact AJ’s hand therefore subjective.

It was offside so - penalty call irrelevant.

We are in theory only 2 points behind them - just need to win every game between now and the end of the season.

The RFC management should take a good look at themselves, and look at what is happening in Turkey.

My Tuppence.
