Our defence takes a fair bit of stick, my favourite defence since souness became manager would be goram, and my back four would be Stevens, gough, butcher and Robertson would that be the best we have had since the 80s onwards.

Mine almost the same, though I'd have Numan at left back.

2.) 09 Jan 2024 14:55:20
Tav in a proper solid team would be my right back.
If gough and butcher are the centre backs and we have strong centre mids then tav is the right back every day if the week.

3.) 09 Jan 2024 15:06:01
Which Robertson would that be David Robertson if so great shout.

4.) 09 Jan 2024 16:14:51
My back four would be

Jardine
Gough
Boumsong
Brown.

5.) 09 Jan 2024 16:45:28
I loved numan but robbo was a flying machine butcher gough a must I’m old school though I’d go for a solid right back over tav and just have a better right winger maybe a porrini

Although gough and butcher were that solid you could play tav no worries.

6.) 09 Jan 2024 16:55:34
They fivewould be my shout and Bomber as cover could play anywhere when needed and did ?.

7.) 09 Jan 2024 16:57:25
Yes David Robertson great full back.

8.) 09 Jan 2024 18:03:50
David Robertson and Gary Stevens for me the greatest Rangers full backs that I have seen at the club since the early eighties.

9.) 09 jan 2024 19:24:24
tav would be around number nine, for a place amongst them players, just the right backs.

10.) 09 Jan 2024 19:43:31
My back 4 would be
Gary Stevens
Richard Gough
Terry Butcher
David Robertson just over Arthur Numan ???.

11.) 09 Jan 2024 22:20:44
Stevens
Gough
Butcher
Robertson

Steven’s just pips Alan Hutton at right back and Robertson just pips Numan at left back for me.

Had the pleasure of meeting Bomber Brown in December at the Rangers ladies open day, top man and a close second at CB (although he could play anywhere it seemed), absolute disgrace that man didn’t amass a number of Scotland caps.

Always had a soft spot for Dave McPherson as well in his 2 spells with us.

Disappointing to say the least, my question is when did we last have a striker who could score regularly against Celtic?

Sign morelos again. Oh wait.

2.) 30 dec 2023 15:46:42
and some turn their nose up at the obvious, screaming out fir a good ol centre forward who can at least challenge at corners or crosses, of which we have plenty,

raskin, try to understand this, nobody, yes nobody ever said shankland is better than kyogo, totally different types

now stop the childish comments about people on her saying “ apparently shankland is better than kyogo “

not one person on here ever said that, its a bit like your usual “ everyone on here” when you actually mean one person. its pathetic,

3.) 30 dec 2023 15:51:06
miller, sad as that is, walter never used boydy properly in these games but he stifled celtic and won many, anyone using boyds record in old firm games don't understand walters tactics, not boyds fault, he would score anywhere with the proper chances, but walter changed his team for celtic, and boydy was always the fall guy.

i can't stress how much rangers need to get shankland, we have zero forward presence, only against dundee and st johnston, we need a guy who will terrorise celtics defence, not tickle them now and again.

4.) 30 Dec 2023 15:53:14
Good question mate, was a long time ago.

5.) 30 Dec 2023 15:54:25
Novo? Kenny Miller? Can't think of one since - and that is why we continually fail against them.

Maybe Robertson is coming to coach the strikers?

Some people saying hibs were poor, but how many poor teams have played against and couldn't beat them, I think Rangers deserve the credit for making his look poor.

Philippe Clement done his homework on hibs and got his gameplan and tactics spot on ? Montgomery doesn't change and always plays out from the goalkeeper at the back and our players were right on top of it and condensed the space and never gave hibs an inch to get out ? That's why they looked poor because we made them look poor ???.

2.) 24 Oct 2023 12:25:28
Looking forward to see how Clement plays against a low block, Hibs style suited us and if Hearts open up Sunday we will have a field day, we are trying forward balls constantly and is far more entertaining even when it does not come off, giving up possession but creating more chances suits me fine??.

3.) 24 Oct 2023 12:39:52
Good to have a manager that knows what he's doing, it makes a change from Beale.

4.) 24 oct 2023 12:40:24
bit of both mate really, hibs were awful and hearts were worse, pathetic fact that really, sunday should have been a massive game for them but they didn't show up, clement got rangers spot on and hibs never had a chance, even if they had scored they were overrun.

5.) 24 Oct 2023 12:42:12
It also helps when you play a high press and play 1 sitting midfielder (Lundstrum) with Raskin and Lammers breaking forward. Playing 3 sitting midfielders and relying on Tav and Borna feeding the strikers just didn’t work for Beale.

6.) 24 Oct 2023 13:05:59
It was good to see our new boss put a plan in place to exploit their weaknesses . They have ben a shambles at the back all season and pressing them when they tried to play out was always going to be fruitful for us . Their only threat are the two quick wingers and we made sure our wide men covered our full backs which has not been happening all season. The rest of the teams in Scotland are not that good and with a bit of planning and effort we should be capable of doing this to any of them,
