Does anyone have any insight to the interview process, ie, is Allan and D King leading the process? Has King even remained in the country to see this through?

Hoping it's not left up to the clowns who felt it was ok to make such a massive gamble last time. Anyone know if there's any real Rangers men on the panel, eg Walter Smith. I feel like we have Huge depth of experience available to us and I hope it's utilised this time around.

1.) 28 Oct 2017 04:52:33
I don't know about the interviews themselves, but King is supposed to have extended his stay and will apparently be at Murrayfield today.

2.) 29 Oct 2017 11:08:40
hoops fan here, think you you have missed a good manager in stevie clark he is the best bit of business that killie has ever done, so why not try and get him from them i know its not the done thing and would cost money but to get anywhere near where you should be the club has to be ruthless, not reckless. before anyone says they don't have the funds remember if you want it bad enough you will find it,

Apparently a changing room bust-up between PC and the players. Definite signs that he is losing it! (Sure, heated debates must take place regularly and it probably no big deal)

Anyone have anything from a 'source' inside the club?

Joelifish

1.) 27 Sep 2017 08:05:21
If this is the case who ever apointed him has to hold there hands up admit they made a mistake him lossing it with brown and kennedy now his own team is not a very good sign

2.) 27 Sep 2017 08:35:26
I would like to know who gave the story to the media.

3.) 27 Sep 2017 08:40:57
Brown swung an elbow at our player the last old firm game he elbowed Miller Ped was wright to be furious hitch reports that Ped was also furious with the players and wants them to be more of a unit and fight for the club and each other I also believe we need to give Herrera and Pena time to adjust to Scottish football after all there has been a few players who had a nightmare first season befor kicking on to be Rangers greats

4.) 27 Sep 2017 09:55:33
Pedro must blast the players there performance has not been good enough their desire and passion hasn't been there! Celtic players were given far too much room and I back the gaffer tearing strips of them for gutless performance

5.) 27 Sep 2017 11:22:49
Jzer it wasnt about there performance it was about respect he claims no one shows him respect. He said the scottish boys havnt made them feel welcome. He went mental about dorrans giving kenny the armband. He never bothered about the score or performance its all about him. he's gone.

6.) 27 Sep 2017 11:39:36
I honestly take whatever the record reports about us with a pinch of salt, it personally annoyed me on saturday dorrans couldn't get the armband to miller quick enough if only he was as quick getting into the faces of armstrong and brown

7.) 28 Sep 2017 02:22:12
It's a none story. JJ's wife has posted online it's a load of nonsense.
Loads on here have dismissed the Daily Rebel in the past but are now prepared to believe a story as gospel because it suits there own agenda?

8.) 28 Sep 2017 02:24:02
What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. The players need to show a reaction and move on stronger individually and collectively. Let's get behind pedro and the club.

9.) 28 Sep 2017 08:09:34
Hate to defend broonie but what he did in Saturday was fairly tame for him. We all know he plays at the edge and referees and the SFA condone this and even let him choose which internationals to play in. Pedro's reaction reflect his newness to Scottish football and show that he really does care passionately about the club.

No sure why Dorrans gave Kenny the armband and think says more about Dorrans than anyone else. Time to stick together lads, get behind the manager and really support the team.

Rangers are going to upset Aberdeen by putting in a higher bid for Louis Moult . source: a very drunk Hong Kong'n man who stated, "Believe me. I have contacts" HaHa Apparently now the priority over Walker. A proven scots prem goal scorer would be nice in my opinion. He said bid would go in previous Wednesday (2 days ago) . anyone closer to the club suspect anything? WRTP.

Joelifish

1.) 15 Jul 2017 08:20:32
I disagree that he's priority over Walker. Mainly because he's a central player and Walker plays more out wide.
The other reason is Aberdeen have stated they won't do business with us for McLean whereas Hearts have put a £1m tag on Walkers head. I expect the Walker deal to be concluded before the end of the window and suspect we need to move an other few on before wages and funds become available to conclude this deal.
I hope I'm wrong but after early Euro exit King might be keeping cheque book closed as both Walker and McLean can be signed on pre contracts in January window then signed for nominal fee to get them In then.

Not down with this Gerrard rumour although I am massive fan of his as a player.

I'm worried other, more experienced, coaches will be put off now as they know they're 3rd or 4th choice.

Why has everything got to be so public? . I think it's bad management from above, who are desperate to sell season tickets, and as a result we shoot ourselves in the foot.

Again, shocking handling of a situation that could be kept 'in house'.

Joelifish

1.) 27 Apr 2018 08:49:34
No one other than the media have said he is first choice / has been offered the job -all supposition until DK or SG say something

01 Mar 2018 04:37:52
So what's the deal then boys, we spank Celtic 3-0 (heard it here first) and then we're 3 points behind them . or will their prem fixture be rescheduled before we meet?

Joelifish

1.) 01 Mar 2018 08:58:59
I'm sure the establishment will want to fully accommodate them whatever they want to do. In fact I think they should just award them the points to cheer them up after the trauma of their game being postponed.

2.) 01 Mar 2018 10:18:30
The SPFL will bend over backwards to accommodate them, couldn’t have them playing us without their first choice right back, Lustig 😂

Just a response to Ferguson's article in the DR.

Cummings over Naismith all day long.

Nothing to do with the past, Cummings is sharper/ all round better player at this moment in time. Plus, if we do buy him, will have much more sell on value.

BF reckons it'll be ". the one we regret as the one we let get away"

Think he's just blowing a friends trumpet if i'm honest. Thoughts, is BF right?

Joelifish

1.) 19 Jan 2018 08:08:06
read the article, he is making naismith out to be a saint, he saw right through green yeah right, what he can see into the future could he, we helped him through two severe ligament damages he done the dirt on us as did others, no loyalty to anything but the buck, he will be out injured more than he plays for hearts, with the guff ferguson writes its hard to believe in anything he says anymore

2.) 19 Jan 2018 08:36:30
Even taking out the loyalty issue on Naismith this is a guy that has played hardly any football in about a year.
He has featured I believe off the bench just 3 times for Norwich since August.
His career has been blighted by injury he is the wrong side of 30.
In contrast Cummings is 22 never had a serious 8njury problem is a prolific scorer he has a sell on value and many years in front of him.
Loved aBarry as a player and Captain, I just wish he would think before he speaks about this club/ institution we love, our belies do not need any encouragement to attack us and all our decisions do not give hem succor.

3.) 19 Jan 2018 08:51:33
As usual Ferguson cherry picks what he says and conviently forgets to mention the press conference in which Naismith declared the club dead and that he had no loyalty to the new club. He knew full well how the support felt about that. I defy anyone to say they really knew what was going on at the club at the time and it was only much later that it all came out. Ferguson was a great player and captain for us however his articles are poor and ill thought out

4.) 19 Jan 2018 09:02:45
My prediction about Naismith he'll play great in first few games then his form will decline then he'll be forgotten by may either injured or some other excuse the guy just wanted to come home to Scotland only wanted rangers for a big buck pension he will be in the studio with commons and his old pal kris Boyd more than on the pitch guaranteed still think he's a good addition for hearts though maybe be 5 or 6 when they play Celtic next lol

5.) 19 Jan 2018 09:36:20
Not defending Ferguson, just making a point that Ferguson is now writing for rags and praising Rangers does not sell papers in Scotland, slating Rangers does, as that's what everybody bar Rangers fans wants to read.

Bad Rangers news is good news to the rags.

I love Fergie but this is the reality of becoming a 'journalist' for papers like the DR and the sun.

For example, Alex Rae, he will stand up for the club almost every time, he isn't writing for any papers, just appears on radio.

6.) 19 Jan 2018 10:51:35
Well said bear mode that is an excellent post
Do not buy those papers as they are a so anti Rangers it is becoming criminal
As the song says No One Likes Us We don't Care.
Do you know what the problem is?
It is we are on the way back and they are all starting to panic that it will not be long untill we are back at our rightful place at the top of Scottish football.
What lies would they be able to print then.
Come on the Teddy Bears

7.) 19 Jan 2018 15:07:47
another ex player bad mouthing like Boyd sour grapes because he didn't get a coaching role we don't need to go for old players Cummings a better option.

02 Jan 2018 07:00:23
Just wanted to say I would be gutted if Tav went. 3 mil wouldn't be enough for me cause who could we get to replace him? I know he's been caught out in the past but with Murty as manager he seems to be learning fast.

He really took the game by the scruff of the neck on Saturday and he was demanding higher standards and more effort from everyone . whilst leading by example!

He's been through it with us now, he's competitive and, just by going off what I've seen in his interviews, I could imagine he is great banter and a big character in the changing room.

I honestly feel he's a big player for us going forward and 3 million is nowhere near enough. Turning down that sum in order to keep him would be a sign of ambition in my opinion. If he takes his second half performance into the second half of the season, just the way he was so demanding, I can see him as a future captain. Just my opinion, shoot me down . come on!

Joelifish

1.) 02 Jan 2018 09:07:53
No mate, I totally agree with you. As some people on here have eluded to, he's the modern fullback and will get caught out because he's up the pitch so much. He's one of the few players we have that can drive us forward, and he can put in a cracking cross.
For me it's a no brainer, he must stay. 3m doesn't buy you much in today's market, if we had to replace him.

2.) 02 Jan 2018 09:50:28
If £3m was offered am sure we'd sell. I like Tavernier but am sure you could get a good, young right back easy enough. Just off the top of my head the boy Naismith up at Ross county.

3.) 02 Jan 2018 10:47:34
Guys, don't you think we are now seeing the real Tav which is why we brought him in. This will also happen with Windass as you have seen he has the potential just needs to be more consistent. Bates was the same, laughed at when he came from RR now a more confident palyer and showing potential. We should be holding on to these young players then selling on when the pruce is right or even building round them.

4.) 02 Jan 2018 14:44:21
Good post. He's a modern day wingback and a better one than Moses and I follow Chelsea as my second team. Tavernier has progressed a lot and gets what it is to play for Rangers and endure the pressures. He'd walk into a lot of premier league teams and that sets its own value. Well done to the guy.

5.) 02 Jan 2018 15:01:37
He had a great game against Celtic are we forgetting all the dodgy defending from him (and others) in our defeats this season? Again I actually like him but if someone offers £3m, he'll be sold. If anyone offered £3m for any of our players, they'd most likely be sold.

6.) 02 Jan 2018 15:44:15
Spot on Blueberry. a lot of people with short memories. If we got offered 3m (which we won’t) I’d bite their hand off for it.
“he’d walk into a lot of premier league teams” I’m intrigued to know which ones Kfraser? Because he’s a rotten defender which most premier league clubs wouldn’t put up with.!

7.) 02 Jan 2018 21:40:57
Tavernier was superb in the second half and took Tierney to the cleaners however he himself was given a hard time the previous week at Kilmarnock. Think we should be looking for a better defensive right back and push him to right midfield

A lot of bears getting excited over the prospect of Pulis, I would include myself in that.

However, bearing in mind, the limited success of our boards relationships with previous managers and Tony Pulis's attempt to fraudulently line his own pocket whilst dragging Crystal Palace through the courts . is he worth the risk?

(Face it, you can't help but be paranoid as a Rangers fan nowadays)

So, what are your thoughts?

I wouldn't sell him yet as I think he's only getting better. Plus, I love his enthusiasm for the club and that's infectious for new arrivals. I would love to see him lift it at the end of t THIS season.

With Celtic proving to be inconsistent this year and for us to be there or there abouts I would like to see the Pulis appointment. I think it’d show real ambition from the board and an intention of winning the league this year.

We all need a shot in the arm. Pulis could be it.

He denied any contact for the good of the club. “Important to end any speculation”

6 weeks after THEN getting him in? . that would make them look incapable. Same with Mcinnes .

Nonsense - after the PC experiment the board will be playing it as safe as possible (someone with credible managerial experience) IF they were to get rid of him. and let’s not forget that after tonight we could be well in this league campaign if the players don’t bottle it.

UK. I understand what you’re saying and I think it’s a sensible point, and GM’s will be accused of being inexperienced and naive if we lose by 2 or 3 (which we won’t! We’ll win 3-0).

However Murphy must play if fit, not just because he could Decide the game on his own. but approaching a game with ‘caution’ is not the MINDSET (GM’s word he keeps using) wants the players to have. He wants the players to believe they can be ‘ruthless’ and beat anyone. He’ll want them to respect the opponent but trust in what we’ve been doing so well recently.

We’ve been doing the same things in order to get better at doing those things. now he’s going to say, “let’s be cautions and defend”? . I just feel it would be mixed messages whilst playing into their hands. (Let’s not forget they couldn’t handle Hearts high press too)

I know what you’re saying and I take all your points but Rodgers is still PL Caliber of manager. if not a top 4 team then any team below that would consider him. I was going off things I’ve read. didn’t mean to make it sound like he would definitely end up there!

Anyway, you’re missing my point boys and girls, point is Celtic boardroom reacted when we beat them in the cup. and whether we win the league or get any closer they will
Spend to move away from us. I believe it’s there for the taking THIS year . and I hope every player and fan believes it as much as I do!

3 league points for me! . I think Celtic boardroom will be genuinely pooing their pants and they’ll feel annoyed the gap has got shorter.

There may not be a better chance to win the league before 10 in a row.

Celtic May spend big in the summer in order to convince BR to stay and not take a High profile PL job (eg, if Wenger leaves or Poch goes to Madrid or Jose is sacked) . Just look at their response after us playing them off the park at Hamden.

So 3 league points please . THE TIME IS NOW!

I'd agree to a certain extent. Rangers have been dragged through the mud because the board have chosen to do thing their way (Rightly or wrongly) . what annoys me is the suggestion that we dragged it out, was unprofessional with Aberdeen and DM and blaming us for the continued 'speculation' (which only the media can create) . Let's get it right. 6 weeks ago when PC was sacked, DM could have came out immediately and said "No, I'm an Aberdeen man. not going anywhere. 100%"

There you go, speculation squished!

Your fault Aberdeen and DM. (but that statement was childish. )
