I see online few clubs looking at Mccrorie, likely destination Aberdeen.

Too good to be a 3rd choice keeper unfortunately so can’t grudge the lad leaving. Thought he stepped up well in that old firm and probably deserved more of a chance but there’s 2 excellent goalkeepers in front of him.

Yeah but ones 40 and the other is coming up to 35. Thought he'd be used more as 2nd choice this year and McGregor the backup/ gk coach. Shane to see young player not getting a chance.

John 25, I agree, probably end up at Aberdeen beside his brother. I'm from Kilmarnock and know that there trying hard to sign him.

David potentially leaves us no home grown academy players so reduces our over 21 selections from 25-21 players in A list.

We only have McLaughlin in front of him.

If we lose McCrorie then we will definitely need to bring in a keeper. At 24 he needs to be playing first team football. My question is, should we be promoting him to replace McGregor if we don't bring someone in rather than McLaughlin.

Personally I would give him a chance before JM a just my opinion.

He needs another full year out on loan just like McGregor done at his age then it will be make or break next summer for him.

Storm, what has Mcrorie done that McGlaughlin hasn’t done to form your opinion that he would be the better option?

1 is young, played a handful of minutes for us and did well.

The other is older, played a lot of minutes and did well for us

Explain?

John has about 16 clean sheets in the little game times he’s got over last 2 seasons yet you want him no to be first choice but a 24 year old who’s had 1 decent game in his rangers career and struggled it livi ? thank god your no in change JM should be number one this year.

Having seen all of our keepers playing, I don't think Greegs has another season in him and McCrorie is shaping up to be better that McLaughlin. I'd promote McCrorie to No.1.

McCrorie has had one season in the league and that was a really poor loan at Livingston that ended with him finishing the season as their number 2.

He did well against Celtic last season for us but I think he needs to do more for him to become number 1 at us.

DK19, it's Stormtrooper's opinion mate! He doesn't need to explain anything to you or anyone of us for that matter ?.

He played a couple of games for us done well am just not a great fan of JM he is never a starter goalie for me and never will be IMO. He is a good back up that is all.

Tango RFC a bit harsh on your fellow Gers fan there. I kinda agree with both of you.
1. McLaughlin deserves a shot he has been patient and not really did anything wrong but same goes for mccrorie
2. I get what your saying about livi but do you really think McLaughlin would keep 16 clean sheets if he was livi keeper? and mccrorie just as likely to keep 16 clean sheets if played same games for rangers.

3 I seem to remember having same arguments about McGregor when he was young. Although we all loved Walter it took foreign managers to come in and give our best two youth products the chance leguen for shagger and advocaat for Ferguson. And before you say Walter have Ferguson his debut yes but only due to injuries he played one game maybe two with the other Ferguson was outstanding and then dropped for underperforming older players.

4. If mccrorie were to get the chance and make the most of it. It would be more beneficial to rangers than McLaughlin as he would qualify as domestically/ club trained.

We need to start trusting some of our youth look at Lowry although he still has rough edges if we were to try buy a talent like his in Europe right now you'd be talking 50million . I know that's not realistic for Scottish League but definitely would be realistic if playing in Europe.

Walter DOH?‍♂️

I know that it is Storms opinion which is why I asked him to EXPLAIN how he forms that opinion.

Are we not allowed to question anyone?

You love picking out posters who disagree with others and yet you are one of the first to have a go. Try looking in a mirror before jumping in with 2 feet.

I was a bit drunk earlier so never seen the explain patter DK coops is right I don’t need to explain to anyone but I did ?

Tango no need for the cheek towards John as it’s his opinion.

its kind of annoying me that there's not been any new concrete transfer links or rumours and that there hasn't been much activity from rangers when the window is open.

Storm the John referred to is John McLaughlin is it not.

Storm

If you don’t want to discuss or debate an opinion that’s fine with me but I don’t see the point of coming on a forum.

I only asked why you held a particular opinion but each to their own.

A lot of folk want McLaughlin as number one, safe pair of hands but I can’t think of one actual wow save, can anyone remember a wow save?

23.) 19 Jun 2022
19 Jun 2022 18:01:03
Kennyd9 does not need wow save keepers need to be steady and if he can be a standard level keeper bit keep coming for those cross ball he will save us a few goals.

24.) 19 Jun 2022
19 Jun 2022 18:30:56
I agree Kenny. He is good with crosses which is a bonus but in reality our defenders should be dealing with cross balls, especially at corners. We will generally have 60%+ of the game in the SPFL so for me we need a keeper that holds their concentration and is exceptional is stopping shots. That is where McGregor is special. I just son't feel overly confident with McLaughlin and never feel at ease when he has the ball at his feet.

25.) 19 Jun 2022

he’s a bag of nerves with the ball at his feet bb.
