Boy on FF

I know this is going to set chaos on this discussion - however, some strong chat amongst bears in Asia (me being one of them) that the club has received a bid for a majority stake that has been treated fairly seriously and hence the delay on various signings to date.

I await to get battered by posting this. however, the chat is fairly strong amongst some credible bears.

I suspect you’ll get a bit of a pass GJD83, the last poster just said we’re signing Bruce Anderson…… for £2.5m……. and he’ll be dynamite for us……. Honestly, you could say Peter Lawwell is leading a consortium to buy us and that wouldn’t top the Bruce Anderson rumour ??.

Gjd there hs been rumours for last two seasons re Asian interest, wolthardt in particular, to buy 50% ie majority would result in a number of directors being bought out.
That would then lead to a compulsory offer to every shareholder

What happens to kings agreement with 1872.
I could see a slower build up by an individual.

Maybe you sbould see the stats. I never believed it but after looking at them there could be something in it. Better stats than any of our forwards and he plays for livvie wgere he get less chances and defends more. So look at it logically and maybe you can why were in for Bruce Anderson.

Surely if they were buying a majority stake they would have have to deal with a few different individuals:-
New Oasis ( DK ) - 16%
Douglas Park - 12%
George Taylor - 10%
Stuart Gibson - 9.25%
Borita - 6.4%
George Letham - 5%
Etc, etc.

Exactly MrPH. That’s why I say some one would need to buy up slowly or quickly if trying to achieve majority shareholding.

Funny you bring this up. I was talking to a guy from work who was chatting about this today. His source has told him that there is interest and finances coming out of Asia, he thought Hong Kong. He also said its being put out there that the individual/ consortium want an original stake of under 50% so they don't need to offer the compulsory purchase of all shares as they would be wanting to work with some shareholders.

There was discussion last Season of new investment and it is my understanding that existing shareholders were involve. At the time the indication was Far Eastern Money but I also heard that the situation in Hong Kong made it complicated although I am also hearing Singapore and the USA.

We have a number of Shareholders that have been successful in the Financial markets that are considerably wealthy, (to the extent that they dwarf the net worth of the Parks Family) . One possibility is that those interested are already existing Shareholders. Whether DK and DP would be willing to sell is another question.
