I really hope so. I’ve watched a good bit of his footage and done some reading on him. This is a big strong lad who loves to put himself about and has a real hunger to win.

I’ve read that we might need to pay as much as a few million for Raskin. We’ll need to pay a few million more if we want to get a deal done for Whittaker. Will we have money left over for a fourth player in this window? I doubt it. A loan with option to buy maybe our best best.

We may need to wait until the summer to get at least 7 current players off the books when their contracts expire before we start brining more in. We need to free up the wages, and the squad space. I think we’ll see a big overhaul at that time. If a really good bid comes in for Kamara at any time we should take it because that money will just accelerate the entire rebuilding process.

Don't know much about him, but his goal return is incredible.

Are we going to pay 2 mil for Raskin? Seems a lot considering he’s free in the summer and had seen a couple suggest there’d be a 20% sell on which I’d be saying no way to.

If we didn’t agree to those terms we probably wouldn’t have got Rasking to Glasgow. The boy desperately wants out of his current club because he’s been dropped to the B team. He has plenty of suitors willing to wait until the summer, but if WE want to skip to the front of the queue we need to buy him out of there now.

It seems we paid around £1.5m for Cantwell too. So £5.5m this January on 3 players. As much as I would like this big striker I can’t see us spending anymore. Not unless we sell someone and it’s been all quiet in that front.

Cantwell was 1.5 the boy from Swansea 2m surely we can afford to spend 5m to back a new coach the squad are crying out for some energy and more quality especially in midfield.

£5.5m not a problem at all. Of course we can buy all three players, and still have money in the bank for more. If we sell Kamara for instance we recoup all the money. One problem we seem to have is; there is no big queue of clubs wanting to sign any of our players, and we have a few that need offloading. If recruitment had been spot on this would not be the case. Over to you RW to answer this question.

2 blue I'm sure Beale said there were bids in for a couple of our players, McCann obviously one but there seems to be others. Wouldn't be surprised if someone bids for Kamara, he is very good technically.

I’m aware Rangers have brought plenty of money in, especially during the last calendar year. However, I have little confidence in them actually spending £5m during this January window. I hope they will prove me wrong.

Anyone can see he's not playing and not likely to play again and only has a few months sign him thenoffer buttons it's not same situation as hearts souttar he was fit able to play for hearts who were chasing that euro spot I believe if we sign him first then talk to his club they would be more likely to agree small fee it makes sense for them too frees up wages for a replacement and small fee let's them take a punt on a couple of youth signings maybe.

Win win for both parties

No smart business man would turn that down and as I said before we have to be willing to let a few come at end. of. rhe season or clubs will see us coming a mile away and. make us pay.

I hope they don't prove you wrong why pay nearly 5 million when all ones we are looking at we can get for free in summer ?

Could instead use the so called 5 million your talking about to buy a real quality player and still get those others free.

We need to think ruthlessly in business or we will be treated like mugs in our buying and selling clubs will try under value our players left right and centre and will demand bigger fees if they think we a fool enough to pay it.

And on bids for our players you never accept the first offer that's just common sense.

We haven’t waited until the summer to get Cantwell for free. Norwich themselves said they knocked back a fee from another club. There is no doubt, if he comes this window, we’ve paid something for him.

U r correct re cantwell, I’m being told it’s less than 1.5 as he has signed the pre contract


Scotty if ask suggest re outlay it’s aboutselling say kamara to balance up, we received 4 million last week for Paterson, plus 350k for McCann and possibly monies for Kennedy, mcpake and Mayo which should realise 750-1 million
Wage saving these four not too shabby close to 15 k a week, add in a kamara at least 20k.
