Two really good signings and both major improvements on what we've got.

Buttland will be a fantastic signing
Fair enough, it wasn't yesterday, but when you see him in action he is very commanding, holds crosses and rips into his defenders when needed. Really hoping this is a signing that happens.

When was the last time anyone on here saw Butland play? I have a mate that follows Crystal Palace (the anoraks we call his fan pals ) and he hasn't seen him either .

@Fortissat - Butland sign for Crystal Palace in 2020 for £1m. Since then he's only played 10 games. He was at Man United on a 6 month loan deal as their 3rd choice keeper. Palace apparently had the option to extend his contract but decided not to.

I seen an interview with a Stoke fan on the Rangers Review who said he was excellent at one point but suffered a really bad ankle break. After that his form was very inconsistent and he was either great or terrible.

Obvious ones to be away will be the likes of Kamara and Wright.

But wouldn’t be surprised if the likes of Hagi and Barisic have Italian teams interested in them and Lundstrum has a couple of the better championship sides looking at him.

A fit and motivated Jack Butland will comfortably be the best goalie in the country. That broken ankle that set him back basically took 2 years for it to be fixed then he got himself back playing at a terrible Stoke side.

One of his best friends is Joe Hart, he’ll see how his career has revived after coming up here after not playing for a few years. That’ll certainly motivate him.

He's not played a lot of football over the last three years - so for me this one goes in to the risky bucket.

Nobody can say for sure if butland a good signing keepers are all about confidence and it really depends how well they start.

I don't see any reason why we can't start with mccrorie but if butland does sign we should not stand in mccrories way and let him go out on loan.
