MSM posting McCrorie has told Beale he wants to leave to play first team football and Beale has accepted this after trying to persuade him to stay.

Heart and Hand comments on the matter seem to suggest there is truth in it. Unfortunate but understandable from the young lads point of view. He wants to be playing week in week out. Can't knock him for that.

I think McCrorie is quite right to move if he can. He is a future Scotland keeper and has spent enough time as a number 2.
What happened to the saying the jersey is yours until you screw up or lose form?
He done nothing wrong end of season and should have retained it until jack b proves himself.

Seems like first team paths are being blocked for all our young guys.
Wouldn't surprise me if Lowry asks for a move also.

I think McLaughlin will move on as well and we will be looking for two back up goalies. McLaughlin realistically is no better than a third choice if they decide to keep him.

Slim I think Lowry would have played more if he hadn't been injured in the b team. I personally don't think he should have been anywhere near that b team as he is way above that level. I can see him going on loan this year to an SPL team or maybe down south.

I hope to God JM isn't staying, he's a dud! If that's our backup, then we should all start praying that Butland never picks up an injury.
Honestly, the mere thought of Mclaughlin playing for us again gives me the fear.

Sadly that was always likely to be the outcome. In his shoes, I'd likely have done the same, he's never going to get a chance at Rangers, which is unfortunate, as I think he'll go on to be an excellent keeper.

Our youth teams really are a waste of time, where producing players for the first team is concerned. Makes us decent money, but how much of that are we then wasting on players no better than those we could have brought through.

Sir Walter, mclaughlin is never a Rangers keeper never mind No 1.

Skim Jim McCrorie was very suspect in a couple of his games last season especially against Hibs not good enough to be Rangers no1 yet if he was he would be.

The goalkeeping issues go back to last season when McLaughlin was given a new contract and then given the gloves and when he failed as he was certain to do, McGregor moved back into the number 1 role.
For me, McLaughlin should never have been given a new contract, he will never be good enough to play for rangers, young McCrorie should have been given the gloves while McGregor was still about and could support him as needed.

I’d be happy with McGregor as a 3 John let’s be honest he likely won’t be needed and is a better option than most 3s.

Lowry`s might be built like the side oh a fiver but the boy can play.
One of the best players to set foot on a park for rangers was built like twa ply reek when he started out, Ian Durrant.

Yeah I don't think he's going to play centre half, the boy will break through this season, he got clattered by a hammer thrower in the B league who was trying to make a name for himself, but he has recovered fine.
