Not been a fan of Tillman and openly criticised him on many occasions but he does seem to be improving and I could have been wrong. He either has a good game against Celtic and I change my opinion or he will be an empty shirt and get substituted early second half. let's see what happens! I am ready to admit I was wrong about him but still need convincing Monday will be the day he either proves he is worth signing permanently or not.

Sorry 2Blue, you were just wrong, end of. It was obvious right from the beginning that Tillman has a high level of ability and talent and offers something different from the rest of our squad and will go on to one day become a top player. However what you and others seem to forget is that he is a 20 year old, playing his first season of first team football, in a foreign country and playing a style of football he’s never come up against before. He’s also a ‘flair player’ and like all players of his kind will drift in and out of games. (Honestly, watch Messi for example, for 70mins a game he walks around doing very little. Now I’m not saying Tillman is comparable to Messi, I’m just saying it’s not his job to be diving into challenges and chasing down opponents for 90 mins. )
In my opinion it will be tremendous if we get him tied down on a permanent deal as he will only get better with age and hopefully go on to make us a great deal of money in a few years. Oh and this is no matter how Monday goes.

No he won't borna, he will be judged on what he can do vs the japs, and Europe. No one cares if he's decent against the average dross. Certainly a player in there just needs to show it for 90mins.

DK19 as usual your only here to spread your bile, 2blue made a valid point tillman was an empty Jersey last game vs Japan, can't afford to have that again. You never have anything constructive to say on here, you were campaigning for Mclaughlin to be our No1 look how that turned out.

McLaughlin has more clean sheets than our current number one in far less games nothing wrong with someone wanting him to get the gloves. You can’t base how good a player is just because they have a a couple a bad games against Celtic. Some players run there heart out for 90 mins and still contribute little running about a lot doesn’t make them good players. Stepping up with big moments in games like tilleman has recently does.

Thanks Arfield for your support. I don't agree it was obvious from the beginning that Tillman was a top talent, he was garbage in some games, and substituted because of it. Lately he has shown flashes of genius, and work rate has improved hence the reason I am reserving judgment until I see more. Jury is still out in my opinion but I accept others disagree, that’s what banter is.

I don’t think Tillman is great. Far from it. He has struggled in games and both the current and previous managers have admitted this. He has potential and I worry if our system suits his style.

If we play Tillman as one of the midfield 3 tomorrow I fear Celtic will control midfield and we will struggle with 2 against 3. I’d prefer if he played alongside Kent and Morelos as part of the front 3 where he would have more freedom.

I don’t want to single the lad out and I would say Tav, Borna, Lundstrum, Jack, Kamara, Kent and Alfredo have all had better seasons.

Fingers crossed Tillman and all the team have a great day and turn up and give us something to cheer.

There shouldn't be praise getting put on a set if Rangers players who sit 9 points behind celtic in a 2 horse race. Praising them is accepting failure imo.
