Watching billy gilmour play on TV. there's clearly a reason Chelsea sold him, couldn't hold his place at Norwich and now struggling at Brighton. . any1 calling for this boy to us are mental. he's so lightweight its unbelievable, the game passes him by and when he does get involved he constantly passing backwards and very 1 paced. he won't be coming to us anyhow but in my opinion we need a tough tackling ball playing deep lying midfielder with a eye for a forward pass.

Ive not watched BG progression only the odd game for Sco. I don't think he has a particularly skill to offset his height and stature. Unfortunately for him there are players that can do what he can do which are taller, more powerful and faster in the rich leagues. Still a competent player just needs the right league and club to make a real go of it before its passes him by.

Boy has hardly played recently. When he first broke into Chelsea and Scotland team some of his performances were outstanding.

Would take him in a heartbeat.

Finty. lol wisen up eh I've followed his career so get a grip eh. Tommy, yes I agree when he played for Chelsea he was brilliant but that's playing with world class players around him. he was ok for Scotland but nothing more. The last year unfortunatly has shown him how weak he is in stature and controlling the game and playing positively. Going back to fintytint comment instead of bumping your gums it's a opinion. now tell me have you watched his progress or you just a keyboard warrior. I presume the latter eh.

Thb, absoloutly agree with you. think on the continent where its slower and less physical would suit him better.

Honestly think he’s by at epl level at the moment think in 2 years he might be at a hearts/ hibs it happens in football hopefully he goes down a few levels and gets game time this January he was hyped up because of what he could become but be honest would any of yous swap Lowry for him I know I wouldn’t hope he proves me wrong tho he’s only still young but needs to buckle down big time if he wants to play at that level.

BG for me a yes. Think he has a lot of talent and just needs to get back on track and confidence levels up to where they were. Obvs depends on price or loan deal. Get that he is lightweight but think he could fit in well with our team. On subject of lightweight I don’t mind maybe one, two max but for me rest of team needs to be ideally big, solid and aggressive. Feel aggression may be best tactic on Monday. They are playing well and with Beale only in door and some players still missing feel going toe to toe style wise may play into their hands. I would much rather we pressed and tackled hard and win the battles first. Also feel a few very solid tackles on their smaller players may knock their rhythm and take them out their comfort zone. Not red card jordan jones stuff but a toned down yellow card version. Perhaps 3/ 4 different players taking turns on kogo, Abada those guys are small and lightweight so go through them hard and early. If it is ball first and the right follow through less risk of a card. Just sick of losing to them and want to see some real fight, passion and work rate ?????? When Stevie G was beating them we had balogun, bassey, aribo - when they left they took a lot of physicality with them - we need it back imo and hopefully it will be addressed in transfer window ??????.

Gilmour going the same way as mini Messi Gauld if he came back here he would get flattened every week, we need big athletic type player and hopefully soon, Gilmour will find a league but SPL and English prem ain't it, anyway Lowry is way better as long as they keep him away from the hammer throwers in that ridiculous Lowland league.

Super ally and flint. Yes it's your opinion as mine but surely the 3 players in your team that can't be lightweight is cdm, lcb, rob lol. Also fifty you say you disagreed with my comment. yes to a point but tried to be sarcastic saying have I watched him once. keep this ? being sarcastic. disagreeing is fine but assumption points scoring ain't in my my eyes ?.

He thought he was too big for us but realistically he's too wee for our team. We need someone with baws of steal that can play not a wee lad that would get pushed about. Conor Barron is someone I'd look at along with our own youth players. The youth players that signed pro terms with us and didn't think they were too good for us. I don't think we should speak about him.

Tommy, IMO if he went into gym addèd two stone in muscle upper body he could be cracking player but he's too b@@@@@ lightweight.

Just saw highlights this morning of Brighton v Arsenal and I know that you can't really judge on these, but, apart from his poor header leading to a goal for Arsenal, he looked ok. Great pass through for Brighton's first goal. As Tommy says, he has hardly played and was a standout in a Chelsea side v the best players in the world. Also mom at Wembley for Scitland. You just don't lose that. Yes he has lost his way, but surely we can't refuse to take on a player like Billy Gilmour if the chance comes up?

Sick of hearing his name on here to be honest. The boy left and chased the mighty buck. No harm in that but could’ve been a mainstay in our midfield by now and won a league title, cup and had valuable European experience.

He doesn’t play the same position as Lowry so don’t understand why any one would make that comparison between the two.

So because he left for more money he wouldn't be welcomed back, Captain Tav? Even though you obviously rate him going by your post? Got to say that doesn't make any sense to me.
