Just been reading some posts about Kevin Nisbet and where his allegiances apparently lie. Some posters saying quite rightly perhaps that why should it make any difference who he supports or has supported. Then I imagined myself playing top level football, good enough to attract the attention of one of the OF clubs. Serious question for you all - hand on heart, could you sign for celtic? I'll start - 100% NO! Another question - I know there are some ex-players on this forum. Did any of you have the chance to join celtic, or turn down celtic, or worse, actually play for them? (Don't expect anybody to admit the last part tbh ?)

Seeker great question mate. My answer is off course I would have, there a huge club and if you love football and turned a club like that down I think you would maybe regret it especially if you never got another offer as big as that and obviously it could change you and your families life. I love my team seeker but family will always come first mate.

My Brother (who is ginger) captained celtic at under 16s and his manager made him the captain and wear number 4 to wind up my dad so he looked like Neil Lennon. One of the hardest things to watch in my life but needless to say he always gave 100%, no way anyone can turn down that opportunity no matter how much of a Rangers man you are.

I never played to a level where I would have got anywhere near Rangers or celtic. In my heart it's a huge no but if you're playing at that level and the offer comes along? I'd love to say that I'd say no. I'll leave it there seeker. Barsteward of a question mate!

Like yourself parlane my claim to fame was that i managed to play county level and at the time i was chuffed at that but nowhere near good enough to have got anywhere near playing for rangers or celtic!
Hypothetically speaking if i was good enough i just couldn't have put that hooped jersey over my head to play for celtic ?Big club or not i couldn't and wouldn't do it?
So davidb1996 you know someone who's mates with kevin nisbet and they told you he would definitely play for rangers ?I had heard long before his injury that undoubtedly if rangers came for him, he would definitely sign for rangers.

I couldn't imagine wearing their kit, but as others have said - if the money was right, we all families to look after.
Look at Scott Brown - he was a Rangers fan as a boy and now he's a massive Celtic man.
Neil McCann - vice versa, a Celtic fan growing up but now a Rangers man.

No one can honestly say yes or no without actually having the offer IMO aid they were only club looking at me and no other club would touch me the answer would be yes. I think the majority would be the same in those circumstances. It’s easy to say no as it never happened.

I don't think Celtic would be after a player who played for Dunfermline or the lower leagues of england anyway. Having said that, I bet most would change their mind when they saw the life changing money infront of them.
