Was reading a good media article this morning regarding our recently signed right back dujon sterling, by his manager at stoke city last season, alex neil ?Neil talks very highly of the boy and rates hin very highly and points out who different a right back he is to our current right back and captain james tavernier ?He rates the boy as a very good one on one defender but as for going forward not like tav at all. So sterling is of a similar style to alistair johnston at celtic in the sense he's a lot better as a defending right back as opposed to an attacking right back like tav?Worth a read guys ?.

Johnstone is very good going forward aswell tho coops. He will move on next summer for about £15m.

Yes John27, but our right back tav has consistently over the years hit these superb numbers for goals and assists and credit where credit is due so who will/ would step up to hit/ replace our captain's terrific numbers?penalties aside ?.

Any manager would be clean off it if he didn't want goals from his strikers, anyone that watches Rangers can see that Beale likes his cf dropping and linking up.

Beale apologies for not answering mate! We have relied on tav's numbers constantly mate as you know whereas celtic don't rely on their full backs in the number stakes near as much?We need to find our way of getting our players to get numbers beyond tav's and not worry about how celtic do it mate.

It seems to be rocket science stormtrooper because our good players haven't hit the numbers of our right back ie kent and morelos ?Both of these players in particular were highly rated and considered good players? You're correct in the sense, that we have to sign players that will outdo our right back in goals and assists, of that there's no doubt.

SWS i tend to agree with you on this. let's not forget Tav is also pretty decent at set pieces outside the box. Hard to replace his goals but that in itself is a combat indicator that we urgently need to strengthen in other areas. Front 3 need much higher goals ratio.

Beale like you I prefer defenders to defend. Tags stats are good but from his 100 goals 52 or so are Pens. Had thes been taken by Morelos we Would be raving about his stats and they would have been exceptional.

Good though they are, too much is made of Tavs goals as some one else would have taken these penalties.
